should I e-mail again after a few weeks/ months?Page 1 of 1
Hey. Just wondering, if a woman doesn't reply to my e-mail if it's best to let the matter drop, or try again after a while? If the latter, is it best to wait a few days/ weeks/ months?

I don't subscribe to the pay features, so I don't know if the mail is deleted, read or unread.

NO don't email her again. In case you didn't know, your previous message does show up again with the new message.
This happens to me a lot. Some guys even send the same cut and paste they sent previously. What do you think will happen? that she will change her mind? If she didn't write back the first time, what makes you think she will write you this time? The person will probably block you this time though. So go on and write her if you're so determined since there's nobody else in your search area and your dream date already ignored you. So many masochists on POF.

If she was interested in you you will know she will email you back unless youre on a short list and she is deciding to respond
other than that dont email her again.

If we do not respond the first time, there is a reason behind it. Not interested. I mean no one is stopping you, but I am not sure why you would continue to e mail someone who clearly showed no interest before? Most of the time if someone is interested, they will respond.

With the threaded messages which show past conversations, your new message will be attached to your old message. Even if she didn't remember your first message, it will be staring her in the face once she opens your second one.

Don't email. When I get that I get irritated and even less likely to respond than the first time.

Why not? She may block you after contacting her again

I think the system deletes messages after 20 days. So if you have to message someone again at least wait a month I guess and then maybe she will answer. I don't know. If someone doesnt answer me I would just move on to the next. Why get rejected twice?

I think you should just ignore the sent messages and if they are read or not read. Watch your inbox and see who is willing to read and respond to you. It works better that way.

Why would you want to contact someone again who didn't even bother to answer your email the 1st time?

Never would I send another message to guys who clearly were not interested. I also noticed some guys like to pull the, "I don't remember messaging this person" line. Bull. There is a contact list right in the inbox allowing users to view who they have previously messaged.

I had to block several guys lately, because they either refused to get the hint or don't have a clue.

I don't see any reasoning in contacting someone again once there was no initial response,,,especially when there are a lot of people on site and in the real world.

its up to you. this is what i did and it worked

first message i sent

Hi so and so

in your profile you said

"you scroll down an find a newer model or more tread on the tires,or shinier hubcaps.."

when did women started wearing hubcaps ??? is this a victoria secret item ?

oh and I'm somewhat aggressive, I have a pillow and I know how to use it !!

I think the seeing eye dog is a good idea..., mine likes coffee..., what does yours like ?

and your interests..., "TO BE DETERMINED"..., what a coincidence..., Determined is my last name..., it sounds like a pea in a pod...,

I'll race you to the send message button ..., first to click wins! :-) whatdousay?

no response, day later, I sent this

"Waiting For My knight in Shining Armor" (<--- from her headline)

I got a shining truck..., 21st century..., where do you find a knight these day huh ?

Modern knight is a redneck with a shining truck! :-)

response (jackpot!)

like ur message, ur funny...lol

to which I sent (partial message)

see... a funny redneck... who'd thunk it huh ?

shiny harley ?..., you mean those weren't moving targets..., for practice..., ooops!..., I wondered why they stopped coming by..., oh well. I guess I'll have to buy my own targets now.

I got a recipe for redneck dating..., here it goes....,

1. you like someone funny..., we got that..., right here in the shining truck. I wrote Elizabeth II, I sent her some southern fried chicken, told her there is more where that came from if she makes me a knight. I'm sure the knight thing is only a matter of a few weeks and a few buckets of KFC.

she got a kick out of it.

I don't see why you shouldn't. Worst that can happen is she doesn't answer you again, which puts you back in the same position you're in now. Nothing to lose!

Chances are after a few months they won't even remember you sent them a message before.

@ Cawkblawker, I never knew that. Of course I don't send many emails anyways but it is good to know.

Op. it will cost you little in effort, the question is what will it cost you in diginity?

If she didn't reply the first time, she probably won't be interested the second time. I almost always remember which guys have sent me messages, even after a few months, so if I get one from a guy I didn't answer I think "ugggghhh whatttt.. himmm again?! go away." There are so many girls on here that you don't have to sit there waiting a few months to e-mail the same girl again!

I guess im different than the girls here who say no & would block u. I wouldnt block someone after 2 emails. Sometimes I have things going on, be in a bad mood lol or whatever & just delete or don't.really answer messages. If I got another one from u I may be in a whole other mood & want.to look at ur profile. Maybe u have a new pic or profile or something changed w me
I became interested in one of ur interests too. So in my opinion give it a month. It also.shows her u may really be interested in that u bothered to send another. I would mention that u know u sent one but thought u'd try again because. ( some reason) because otherwise it could look like u forgot u emailed her. Its happeded here to me & I ended up w someone for a while
