When you hear or read, "I miss you" from a guy you've been seeing/dating, how do you take it?
There are sometimes that I want a girl to know I'm thinking about her, but I don't want to appear needy or consumed by her. That thought comes to mind because to me, those words send a powerful message.

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 11:26:25 AM | | To me it means that you hope to see me soon...you are thinking of me etc. I have a friend who thinks it means the guy wants to marry her. It really depends. You can tell me you miss me 3 months into the relationship and it is not as serious as 8 months into the relationship. | |

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 11:31:53 AM | | I wish I knew a lighter way of saying it but with still expressing the same feeling. | |
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 11:33:33 AM | | You can always tell her * Hey, just thinking about you. Hope to see you soon*. That would not be taken wrong or out of context. I get how you are feeling, you do not want to over do it but not knowing how the other person takes things can be difficult. | |
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 11:36:09 AM | If it's a sincere, I miss you, from someone who I have developed feelings for, then I would be pleased that they were thinking of me.
If I haven't developed feelings for that person, I might ask them, "Really? Why is that?" to gauge where their head's at.

Edit to add: ^^^ excellent suggestion girly

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 11:37:03 AM | Hmm...how about
you heard or saw something that reminder you/thought of her and that it put a smile on your face?
..or does that sound too corny? lol
Like:
"I saw something today that made me think of you, I couldn't help but smile.."
I think it still says I'm thinking of you, and would be a good way of starting a conversation she'll probably think it's sweet and ask what it was.

When you hear or read, "I miss you" from a guy you've been seeing/dating, how do you take it? "I'm bored."

|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 12:32:33 PM | | To me it says "I'm thinking about you and can't wait to see you again." My guy used to text that to me sometimes and it always made me happy to get it. | |
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 12:44:05 PM | If we were already seeing each other (I'm assuming more than just a few dates) I'd think it means he's thinking of me. .. and of course I'd feel flattered to know it ...
If you don't want to come across as too needy, perhaps like suggested, try "Thinking about you" ...
Then again... simply initiating to see her again already speaks for itself that you are thinking about her ..

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 1:02:08 PM | When you hear or read, "I miss you" from a guy you've been seeing/dating, how do you take it?
I miss you = I want to fcuk you now!!!!!
Makes me think that he should just say what he means and he is just being fake and a pus.
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 3:57:02 PM | So if I ever miss a girl I should just call/text with, "Hello!".
Right? Because it says:
I'm thinking about you I'm saying hello I'm expecting a response.
Right?
and...
If I were to say, "hope to see you again soon", that's more like a statement that does not require an answer, and to me expresses the thought that I'm unsure or that I'm not adequate.
...and correct, if I am texting "thinking of you", its a given since I'm selecting her name out of my phone, then proceeding to text or call, and thinking of the words to say.

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 4:34:53 PM | | Telling a woman "I miss you" can be taken many ways due to the type of relationship you have/had with her. | |
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 4:42:05 PM | My BF says that or some variation ("I missed you" etc) all the time. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
I love it! | |
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 4:47:50 PM | | Man in my experience I always thought it was alright to say its non chalant yet meaningful at the same. I was thinkin though why I was reading and man if you got that feeling say it. I'm hoping you can relate but when you wanna talk to a girl and you don't you miss that moment. Try not to miss that moment but if you do don't dwell on it either. Neither are productive. I hope this helps. | |

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 10:05:28 PM | | I think it's absolutely adorable! It would make my heart melt :) | |

| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 10:31:43 PM | OP it is all about where you are at in the relationship..
If you both are not dropping the L bomb.. "See you soon" or "I look forward to our next date" are a safe bet.
If the time is right.. I miss you is perfect.
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/30/2012 10:43:59 PM | | Just text hey what are you up to? Or something like simple like that. IF you are moving to the next level then something like roses are read violets are blue how are YOU doing? OR something that will make her LAUGH. | |
|
| I miss you Posted: 7/31/2012 5:40:50 AM | | It screams "needy" to me especially if he sends the text 5 minutes after the date is over. I hate that! ;^) | |
