| | POF & The SingularityPage 1 of 1 | What do POF and "The Singularity" have in common?
Only mathematicians/computer nerds can even begin to try to explain how either of them work, and since no one has yet seen the evidence that either does work, we'll just have to play along until the answers reveal themselves.
What else do you compare this crazy aquarium to? (Ooh, I just did it again.) Any other mysteries amusing anyone these days?

What to compare this aquarium to? Hmmm... sometimes a kindergarten classroom, with a frenzy of confused and over-stimulated children... sometimes a reality show gone bad... sometimes a game show, choosing the "door" you HOPE contains the prize and not the boobie prize... ya place your bets, ya take your chances! ;-)

I like your kindergarten comparison, W(h)IPS! Kindergarten at a Tim Horton's. Heh.
Re. placing your bets and taking your chances....it's worth remembering you get what you pay for and POF is free, huh? :)

it's worth remembering you get what you pay for and POF is free, huh? So if you do not think you are getting what you think you should, then it is your fault for not understanding POF's function.
Which is as a tool to help look for and be looked at by people who may be seeking the same thing as you.
To also think that POF has any control of the randomness that is matching up pair bonds other than increasing your nearly impossible odds to slightly higher is also a misunderstanding.

I would say my POF experience equates to a Jerry Springer episode but according to others, it surely must be my fault because I used to give just about anyone a chance for a conversation.

| POF & The Singularity Posted: 8/9/2012 4:17:56 PM | POF reminds me of the old lottery broadcast on TV. All the balls were loaded into the lotto machine - each with their own unique number ( profile ? ). They tumbled and bounced into each other occasionally and then after a while a few would come rolling out together to create a winning combination.
But after all of that effort those lucky few that escaped the machine would inevitably end up back with the rest tumbling and bouncing together again.
