How many pictures do you need to evaluate someone? Face it if we are not attractive to begin with then it would not matter how many pictures you take. Two key things here seem to be face and age. Once you get past those then the pictures.

A primary pic should be a head/shoulder shot WITH a smile! ( flash teeth! ) No sunglasses, hats, caps, bandanas, flipping the bird, wedding rings, no group shots, no little kids, etc.,
You have 8 slots to fill, so show yourself off!

Sort of but you are forgetting that we are all attracted to different things. You don't have to be stunning to look at, just what the individual viewer doesn't personally deem unattractive. Pleasant looking works just fine for most of us.
Keep your photos so they reflect who you are. No point dressing up in blue jeans and a cowboy hat if that's not who you are and if you run screaming at the sight of a rocking-horse. If you normally dress casually, then that's how you should portray yourself on here. If you like to dress up a bit for a night out, then maybe a photo showing that too but you need to be recognizable as yourself. If you put up 8 photos of yourself in a business suit but then show up on a first date in a muscle shirt with grass stains and jogging pants, that's going to be one disappointed lady !
It does matter how many pictures you take. The more the better as long as they are fairly recent. Profiles with only one or two images are sometimes viewed with suspicion but when there are 6 or more, clearly showing the same person, it's less likely to be a fake profile.
Try having photos showing you doing what your profile claims you like. It's always odd to read the profile of someone who claims to live for the outdoors, camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, zip-lining, hiking, snowboarding, skiing - and then all their photos are taken by web cam sitting in the same seat in the same room with not a speck of daylight to be seem. Have photos which show you as the person you claim to be in the text of your profile. | |

If you're looking to attract women with a number of qualities say - mature, professional, athletic - choose a mix of photos that reflect what you want. | |

Was not speaking of me in general and thanks for the tip of the smile. I do have all my teeth and they are not rotten, so might as well show them lol.
But I have read that women do not want to see men with there toys, motorcycles,cars,boats,4 wheelers and other things for example.
Maybe I should get a picture of me working in the garden... joking.
Thanks for the advice and please comment about the pictures with the toys as these are things that I enjoy doing also as well as others. | |

Biker pics, shirtless bathroom mirror shots, holding dead fish, posing with multiple women, wearing hats & shades in several of your pics, etc.
Go against the grain.

it's close enough that you don't appear to be in another country
you have your shirt on
you're not obscured by darkness, sunglasses (though some do for privacy reasons, understood) or a hat
you're not posting with a dead fish, vehicle or firearm
2 things you could improve:
show your smile
take what's called a 3/4 shot, which is as far down as above your knees
Suits and ties are quite nice when a gent wears them in his pic. The fact that you are wearing a nice casual hawaiian shirt is an improvement over the shirtless, t-shirt, or wifebeater crowd. If you don't usually dress in a suit and tie, but do in something like your hawaiian shirt, stay in your comfort zone to be your authentic self :) | |

Posing with a motorcycle or what ever in a manner that is blatantly "flossing" might not be the way to go. If you can do it in a manner where it looks like you are just doing your thing as a "doing something interesting" shot I would. It works. I don't get hate mail saying "show off" or "are you compensating" etc. Mostly I get "can I go for a ride and do you have another helmet? " Even with the horse it's like "can you borrow a second horse so we can both ride"...
Try to work who you really are and what your interests are into your photos in a manner that comes across as you just showing what you do for fun but not really showing off and you are good. | |
