|Upon the Breath of SkyPage 1 of 1 |
|From the tenderness of our goodbye|
You left me, to soar beyond our now
As you spread your wings to fly.
I spiral down, faster and further down.
Pages from our past flutter up and away.
I try to clutch a page against my heart
Suffering the loss of the “feel” of us
And that which was my soul with you.
Tumbling, fighting to breathe my best,
Heading to the beginning of neverness,
I will arrive and be alone with this.
No one to greet me with honeyed kiss.
Ne’er to feel your warm upon my skin,
Our rainbow as you gathered me.
In darkness I seek comfort in Plato’s sleep.
No compression of spirit. No expansion of soul.
No feel. No joy. No patches or seams,
Only sleep, undisturbed by the sight of dreams.
Hope and promise sailed away upon the breath of sky.
I must accept our book is closed.
Goodbye, my love. Goodbye.
