Name your date anonymously or just state the site that you met them on.Describe the date.Hold nothing back. I will return later to post mine.
I bet this will make for an interesting read.

I only recall one blind date, and oddly enough... its the one date that seems to be working into something more meaningful. Go figure.

Mine was about three/four years ago....

We booked a night, and I even got band practice started two hours early so we could go to a movie that Saturday night.

Movie was at 9:45. She shows up at 9:50! And thought nothing of it. "I was doing my hair" was her reason. So two red flags right there.

Then stand in line for at least 12-15 minutes getting concessions, making us even more late. I just wanted to see the flick.

Her cellphone goes off during the movie!

On the drive home, she just recalled that she's MARRIED and thought it would be a good time to tell me about that part of her life.

She wondered why I wasn't saying much and wasn't interested!? "Guys usually think I am really sweet and can't keep their hands off of me." Ummmm, ok...

*Edited for time.*

What a night! Yikes and double yikes!

HAHA man thats pretty bad,Dale.*snicker*

I was going to come back late last night and write a reply but I forgot.Haha.Mines not as good as Dale's but here goes.It was bad to me! haha

Well when I first was introduced to the internet,I began talking to a nice fellow on ICQ.He was around the same age as me and lived in Fredericton as well.We talked for a few weeks and decided to meet spur of the moment one night. We decided to just hang out and go for a drive. So he came and picked me up and everything seemed fine.We seemed to get along well and what have you ..Anyways he asks me if I would come with him to a friends place so he can pick up something of his and then we could leave.cool.whatever.
So we drive there and he dissapears inside for a few minutes and comes back out with his friend beside him ."My friend wants to hang out with us, is that ok?" yeah sure.I'm thinking by this time that they plan to take me into the woods somewhere and cut me into little pieces but I figured it was an over active imagination.Nothing like that happened, thank God.

Anyways turns out what he went to go pick up at his friends house was a big bag of coke.MmhMMM.Wrong.I demand he take me home. For about 20 minutes, and during this time, hes trying to convince me to have a sexual encounter with him and mr.crackhead beside him.I couldnt wait to get the hell outta there. Finally he took me home and as soon as I came in the door I blocked and deleted him...

I'm a freak magnet

Wow...

Those are both bad experiences.

The one Dale had was an "attention wh0re". Just someone looking to be admired and coveted.

The ones Sparkle had were complete losers.

Ok, where to start.....I've been doing the internet thing since about the only place to talk to people was mIRC :P, now that's old school. Anyways I've had numerous bad experiences and funny stories that have happened over the years. Number one complaint I have about blind dates is, is that girls turn out to be tanks. NOw don't get me wrong I love a cutie with bootie, but there is a limit!! A fresh one that comes to mind is I met this girl and we hung out a couple of times. I figured I didn't really wanna hang out with her cause after the 3rd time we hung out we just didn't have anything to say to each other. So she decides that that isn't gonna be how it is. She comes into my work and stays there for an hr and a half with her back to me and a group of her friends. Then they leave and I think she's gone.....but NO!!!....she;s still there and she waits outside my work for another 2 hrs......I'm scared by this point cause she has a car load of guy friends too. I managed to evade her after work and the entourage however I got an email telling me how if I ever want to rekindle our undying love I know where to find her....Scary shit. And I feel bad for ya sparkle that musta been uncomfortable with the crackheads, anyways boys and girls that's way too much typin for now so until the next time

Send the "tanks" my way! I like 'em big, Bro!

But there is a limit, I know what you mean. A woman can be 250 and be sexy as old heck. They really can. But one thing I have learned over the years, is that the big, big women know very well how to disguise their weight/appearance online: blurry, dark pictures that show only their faces....it can be a bit deceiving and I have been bitten a few times.

As serious as a heart attack.

Lol. I've never been PC my entire life. But I do enjoy the 24 pack of single roll toilet paper that the Superstore sells! Just picked one up this afternoon! Gonna have a poop party. Woot woot.

Hmmmm blind date....The infamous words I dread everytime they come out of one of my friends mouths "We are going to set you up.".I cringe everytime I hear that....

Worst experience.....Went to club with a Karaoke night.Bunch of friends out.Drinking having a good time and with the girl I'm setup with.Everything goes right it was pretty refreshing.Thinking to myself "Wow first blind date that actually works".Anyways the next day I call her up and tell her had a great time last night and waht not...You know what I hear...The friend who set me up with her voice in the back ground saying "Come back to bed"...

LOL...holy cripes Dale...that reminds me of one of my stories.....I met this girl from Oromocto online here actually! We talked for about a month or two every night...sometimes on the phone. She comes to my place one night and we have a couple of beers and stay up all night talking. Then we fooled around some and she got obviously what she was looking for then POOF!!!!! Disappears!!!!!Then she starts mailing me every once in awhile for about 2 mos. Finally I just said to her...what the heck is going on here? What are we doing? She replies by saying that I am scaring her and that she went back to her HUSBAND!!! SCARING HER???? HUSBAND??? "you mean the guy you told me was such a loser and was abusive???? Go figure......".....this was a real eye opener for me on the internet dating scene.I screen possible dates alot closer now because there are some REAL FREAKS out there!!!!!!!!

haha to dale, I remember you telling me about that, as far as bad blind dates go, I think all of them are screwed from the start really (warning, c is about to get really one sided here). As a girl I'm putting forth this next piece of info: more often than not, meeting people offline is no more a blind "date" as it is a blind BOOTY CALL. Everyone on here is just trying to get a little something something, seriously. I've been online and meeting people off it for about 5 years now, and very VERY rarely is a person just looking for an innocent, hang out, chat and walk you to the door and take off thing. Whether the person is aware of it or not. Because seriously if we just wanted to meet members of the opposite sex for innocent talk, it wouldn't matter what you looked like, where your from, and where you met them, if you just want to talk, you don't need singles sites, there's people everywhere, and my theory is proven by the fact that from my experience , from others who have specifically countered my argument, and people who have proven my point accidentally.
Dates in general are that really, sure you can have a good time, have some laughs, really click, all that good stuff, but for some reason, especially with offline meetings, it comes down to sex, can I get some? can I atleast get a little making out? something? When guys meet me offline it's either one of two things, one, they're not the least bit attracted to me, it's all over their face when we meet, like that "oh god, your not what I thought" look, and then they try to appease me for an hour or so, act boring so I'll ask to go home, which I do within the first 15 minutes if I sense that's going on, OR scenario two, they are attracted to me, (which is what getting to know eachother weighs on soooo much eh?) and the whole conversation from that point on is laiden with sexual ennuendo until I could just slap them upside the head, even if I wouldn't mind getting a piece myself.
DON'T KID YOURSELVES PEOPLE! it's 95% hunting for tail, if your lucky enough to find someone who genuinely wants to talk, do things normally, then hang on to them tight! I think, in order for online dating to gather the acceptance that regular dating gets, people are going to have to re prioritize their objectives.
DISCLAIMER: c has nothing against getting a little somethin, somethin, she just prefers conversational, high iq tail, that's all

Geez. This won't even come close to comparing with the rest of you but here goes.

I was talking with this one gal on IRC quite a number of years ago. I think I was about 20 or 21, living with my parents at the time and working full-time at a job in an overnight shift (working 'till morning). This all comes into play in a moment.

Anyway, I was talking with this gal for awhile and we decided to go for coffee (or a "not-coffee" as I don't drink the stuff). The conversation went well enough. Talked about how we both had troubles with depression, that kind of thing. At one point, a good friend of mine, a female one, came by to say hello for a second. This girl I was with gave her the dirtiest, evil "Get the hell away from him!" look I'd ever seen. She even kept glancing over her shoulder to continue giving said dirty look to my friend, who was sitting a few tables away.

Not only that, but she smoked heavily. That's an immediate turn-off for me. So while the convertion was decent enough, there was nary a spark flying. We had talked about renting a movie after coffee, but I told her I was tired or something.

Move ahead to a couple of days later. I was snoring away after working an overnight shift. Later, when I woke up, my parents told me I had recieved a call but no message was left or a name. Just that "a girl" called. This pattern continued nearly every day for about a week.

One night, I was on IRC and this girl came on. We started chatting, and she admitted that it was her that had been calling. I asked how was I to know without her leaving a name or message or anything. She ended up saying that she liked me and wanted to get to know me better (ie: go out with me, obviously). I told her about the smoking, the dirty look and the lack of message (which annoyed both my parents and I). And that was pretty much it.

Dang. Sorry. This was longer and a lot more boring than I expected.
