Posted: 8/11/2005 5:25:40 AM | I was going to say men because that's my only experience with online dating but decided to make it more generic.
Here's a few things that men have said & done to me in this last year of dating:
that he was carrying a knife under his shirt and if I needed anyone to disappear, he could make it happen for me.
that he paid his last girlfriend $250 a time for sex because she needed the money. Now I am not judgemental and figure what two people do behind closed doors is their own businesss but why would he tell me?
that he was divorced (he wasn't) and I ended up with an angry wife on my doorstep.
that he couldn't figure out why his wife had left him for a short fat balding guy at work and then proceeded to tell me he had never bought his wife flowers ever and when she asked him why not, he said he would bring her flowers at her funeral. That gave me an inkling into why she left.
that he had been jailed for assault of his girlfriend but he said it was all false however it seems a cop beat him up to try and calm him down that night.
that he is really looking for a Heather Locklear clone who will give him babies but he would like to have a 1 - 2 yr sexual relationship with me in the meantime.
when I told one guy I didn't think we were compatible, he tried to change my mind by saying a. he had a big unit b. he was rich c. he had an award from the queen.
one got totally legless drunk and heckled from the audience of a show he took me to and got himself escorted out. He then said..."we" should go somewhere else. I ordered him a taxi and went back and watched the show by myself.
I could go on....it has been a very strange strange year! | |

Posted: 8/11/2005 7:22:17 AM | I have been lucky and 99% of my in person dates have been great. But one person greeted me in short shorts, a tank top, and three day old regrowth all over his torso. He only wanted a physical relationship, I guess this was a look designed to not get me too hooked. 
I think we all say and do strange things. I actually insulted someone I really liked on a first date, not once but TWICE! I don't know what I was thinking! I thought he was very cool, good looking, relaxed and grounded, and I made comments about his physical fitness and hair that could have been construed as less than flattering. When I think about it in hind sight I was very off that day, I had big stresses in other aspects of my life, and I thought he was out of my league. He lived in a very nice part of town and seemed to have his act together in a big way. I think I sabatauged my self on purpose and I wish I hadn't. I really liked the man. Oh well.  | |

Seriously, I have talked to most if not all men my own age that are local, and it's sad to say but they have inhaled too much sulphur from the smoke stack. Japhus was a nice one, but he was taken before I could even talk to him.  *congrats again you two* | |

this guy emails me and asks what my favourite grocery store to shop at is. I think to myself...well thats a different opener and I actually tell him. He writes back that he thought he had seen me there and that I should hug him if I see him. A couple of days later, he says he was looking for me around town and the grocery store and mall and wonders where I have been lately. Does anyone else think this is a little freaky? | |

tell me about it!! This week has been another totally freaky week. A guy I went on a 2nd date with is acting like a bull in a china shop. Rushing things when I am not even sure I am physically attracted. And I just got a weird call at work. Some guy says....do you wanna make love? I say...huh?? he says...isn't that Joanna? I say no...he says...it sounds like you...I say well it isn't Joanna. So he says well do you wanna make love anyway? LOL | |

I have met a couple of regular types too. There is one....who is the wittiest, cleverest, cutest guy but a total workaholic. I only hear from him every couple of weeks and hes always on his way somewhere or just coming back. He says strange things too but they are totally funny things. That I can handle. | |

Posted: 8/11/2005 3:29:43 PM | okay...this was a real life guy. i'd seen him around...and he came into where i work one day and asked me out. i was a teenager...so why not? well....part way through the date...we're getting along rather well...strolling through the mall...and out of NO WHERE...he says 'are you a virgin? i can't have sex with a virgin. you all get crazy...and i don't have time for that.' i just stared at him and finally shook my head 'no' and he goes 'are you sure? cause you look like a virgin. and i don't have time for any virgin.'
that one still baffles me.
then there's a guy on here...who shall remain nameless....who likes to tell me all the gross sex stories of his life. his favorite is when he farted on a chick's hand while she was giving him a hand job. it cracks me up. | |

I've written about this before but I have actually been in bed with a Pentecostal woman who started talking in tongues just after one of our escapades.....I truly love that story.
Recently I was on a first date with a woman....I met......online and she had a "friend" stop by to deliver her "medication" at around 10pm and it was counted out pill by pill. Nice.
Met a woman who felt it was necessary to explain to me how her uncles and cousins would beat me up and put me in the hospital if I didn't treat her right. Getting a distinctly psycho impression from this person, I politely made my exit before anything I might have said or done could be misconstrued as "not right"....?
I dated a medium who "saw dead people" recently, she was actually very sexy and intelligent. I believe in stuff like that so I wasn't wigged out or anything - but it was different. | |

I lived in Hollywood & modeled wigs & make up for a living.
I was living wioth a man for about a year.
I had a wig shoot one day & it was long so, I came home with the wig on. He looks at me and says, Honey, you look so good with your hair down!
He was gone in 5 minutes!
Another time I was living witha guy for just two weeks . We were having a big party at the house & people were filtering in early. He runs out of the bedroom and screams at me. DID YOU USE MY LINER?!
Sent him packing too! LOL | |
