Sure, you have to have that attraction to someone but that should not the only thing that you look at. I do not see that you are a plain jane. Even "beautiful" women and men have their hangups. Personally, i go for the guys who have a sense of humor and good self esteem.

And May I ask, why do you need Studmuffin ?what about just a Good and Decent man who has his head screwed on right?..I refuse to believe all men are jerks, the good ones are hard to find but worth the effort..
I read these post and I can't help but wonder why no one catches on..THE MEN AND EVEN WOMEN WHO TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP AND WHO SAY THAT LOOKS SO MATTER, CAN ONLY TREAT YOU THIS WAY IF YOU ALLOW THEM TOO!.THEY CAN ONLY MAKE YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT YOURSELF IF YOU ALLOW THEM TOO!!!.....IF someone tells you looks are all that matters to them..FEEL SORRY for them, because LOOKS FADE and THOSE snobbish people will one day NOT hold up all that welll and they will be left looking in the mirror and having others judge their looks and they won't fair all that well, see UGLY comes from inside and even the prettiest package will eventually have the ugly show up.....And just move on...Studmuffins, hotties, labels that we allow and ones that make us somehow feel inferior?..SORRY, NOt this gal..I may not fit some Bozo's opinion about what's HOT..But I"M A PASSIONATE, SEXY, CARING, ATTRACTIVE and WONDERFUL WOMAN who has enough self confidence not to allow the Bozo's and Bozo'ettes to rule How I think and feel about myself..YOU can NEVER love another and be happy until you are HAPPY and Love yourself!
Try looking in the mirror and telling yourself how sexy and wonderful you really are and you might be surprised how things change..and don't place too much on this site and the men here...There are other FREE sites for women where the men use that HEAD that sits between their shoulders!...Not all here are bad either, I'm just saying Don't let this site or anyone here or anywhere make you feel UGLY!...YOU ARE NOT!..Any man or woman who says otherwise is simply an ass ...We all know what attracts us, but NEVER ALLOW ANOTHER to make you see yourself as UGLY!...

Men are some what hard wired to go by looks but trust me, women are ganging up on them awfully fast, thankfully so. I've been called a "plain jane", so what? The day will come when we all will be 70+ years old, by then, we won't have the good ol looks to offer the other person. A real and good man will see beyond your looks, he will look at the overall package to see if you're a match or not. If a guy is focused on looks only, he shouldn't be in your life. | |

There are normal 'self doubts' and then there are totally debilitating self-esteem issues. It's okay to want to lose weight (unless you're anorexic :P), but if you think you're so overweight as to be unlovable, than any love will be questioned and rejected. If you think you're ugly, the same thing goes.
I've been there with ex's and it totally sucks: you can tell them all day what you think and every single compliment is discarded. (And then some dumb fight with "You never compliment me!" "But I did just ten minutes ago.." "you didn't mean it though!".... .O.o)
Here's my darkish view of reality: everyone sucks. Yes, me too. We're all screwed up in some ways.
If I was a Tom Cruisish pretty-boy, I'd have to be a jerk (:: cough :: you're not an expert on psychology, Tommy, and you have no right to tell women or anyone else about depression unless you've been there yourself). Instead I'm merely "cute" and "nice" and have my own personal issues of abandonment and depression (though I know my enemies well, so they're not THAT annoying).
I think I'll take that over being a jerk any day, so, yeah, I love me... :P
"Pretty" women tend to know they are pretty and tend to be selfcentered and, well, dumb. ("I'm cute, I don't need to think!")
Sure, there are exceptions, but, then the pretty, smart, and non-greedy women have some other issue. :P
"Looks plain" is a pretty minor issue compared to "hates herself" or "has no brain" :) Be glad that's your own personal issue. :) | |

Posted: 8/11/2005 9:56:21 PM | Oh my that reminded me of an incident-and I truly do not want to go off the wall and forget the topic headliner but I can't resist. One time getting a physical exam-there was a student tech in the examining room with the examiner -well this is what happened.
The speculum was too big and they had to switch to a smaller one which pinched me anyway in a place I won't mention and the light they pulled down burned my leg-talk about being a screamer-lol | |

I felt like he was implying I was ugly or something. he sure didn't complain about anything else..he just said I was "Hot' when I was skinnier. Truthfully i didn't mind going from 36c to 38dd..lol | |
