Posted: 11/16/2004 9:00:12 AM | | My best friend and I have been friends for over 18 years. we will call him Joe (yes, he's male) And i adore him. Not more than platonically, mind you, but he is a wonderful person. He's been lamenting over a love he lost in the summer(another close friend of mine we will call her Jane) and I've been helping them get back together. Or trying at least. The only thing is, Jane has assured me that there is NO way she will date Joe again. (they dated for 2+ years) Although i know this, I dont want to hurt him. He has stated that he will wait forever for her. now... to make things even more complicated, I was dating Jo'e best friend of 4 years, and he treated me very badly. always jealous of Joe and I. Once, after a particularly rough argument with 'The boyfriend' Jane and Joe came over.(of course Joe was In heaven!!!) to cheer me up Jane suggested that we all go and get tattoos. we did. Joe picked out mine (Under my navel) and I picked his. Of course this made my boyfriend so mad at me that he began to treat me even worse. Joe was so upset with his friend that he wrote him a letter telling him to stay away from me, and broke off his 4year friendship right then and there without another word between the two of them. I have since then been having very vivid sexual dreams about Joe. Its not something Im proud of I'll tell you that! (Ive diiscussed the matter with him) The real problem is that Joe is leaving the country soon, as am I, I feel like i want him to stay.... Is this nuts or what? | |

Posted: 11/20/2004 2:23:54 PM | In answer to your question, I believe they soooo do!!! But the thing is once you're stuck in the friends zone or have done some stuff like one night stands then it's really hard to move the both of you to that place called love.
It's gotta be a shared feeling.. something BOTH of you 'feel' right about doing.. like with Monica and Chandler from Friends.
So if he's already expressed interest in staying friends, there's no point for you to try and change his mind coz even if he does, it won't be for real if you know what i mean. | |
