| | Do men reply to women's emails?Page 1 of 2 (1, 2) | I was curious about this. I see a lot of men complain about women not responding.
Does it go both ways? Do women usually write to the men they like or just wait for them to write? And do the women care if the men don't respond?
There was some discussion of the issue in a different thread, but it should have one of its own.

I kinda wait & watch for a response to my email, I try to leave it open ended enough to ellicit a response.
I just move on and don't worry about the ones who don't answer back. I figure they're busy or not interested. Which is OK too. | |

When I was new to online dating, a guy didn't answer me (on yahoo), so I emailed him again. He talked to me all right, he was so patronizing, mean and critical I will never be "persistent" with a guy again. Now if they ignore me, I figure they have their reasons. | |

Posted: 8/20/2005 9:43:48 AM | I usually respond 75% of the time. If I don't respond, its because I've been busy. Then when a mail is 2 weeks old, I feel kinda odd responding that late, so I usually don't.
I found that if a woman sends me a message, and I reply, I'm usually ignored in return. My guess is sometimes Women get bored with inactivity, send out an email to everybody on the list, and see who responds. If they get a nibble somewhere else, they may not pay any attention to my email and delete it. Sometimes I may not respond to an email because I feel someone is doing that. I usually need someone to be a bit more specific.
For example. If I see:
"Hi, your profile looked interesting. I want to talk to you more. Please email me if you are interested in me." I usually avoid those... If it says something along the lines of "Hey. I noticed you are Catholic, and I am too. " I will respond to those, because its apparent they actually read my profile.

Posted: 8/20/2005 9:58:18 AM | I always try to reply to emails no matter if there is interest or not. I think its common courtesy to do this. I do however have exceptions wih some emails after viewing there profile and something may be fishy or not look right about them. I get bad fibes sometimes especially from people from overseas. So I choose not to respond.
Unread deleted is very rude though. I know some women on here have to do that because of the number of responses they recieve. No hard feelings from me on that one. | |

90 percent of the time I reply to the women's emails, depends on how kinky the woman is

My problem is, when I do talk to someone after about 1 or 2 exchanges they just stop responding. So I wait about a week and try to follow up and usually get "Well I've been kinda busy but I promise I'll write soon" and then that's it, nothing ever back from them. If I wait a bit longer and then write them back it is usually an even shorter "i'm busy" message or just no response at all. | |

Funny thing is, I get very few responses. One local lady responded and I was STUNNED! My email box has been empty for a while.....someone feel free to send one.
