| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/20/2005 6:43:01 AM | I'm gonna fight 'em off, A seven nation army couldn't hold me back, They're gonna rip it off, Taking their time right behind my back, And I'm talkin' to myself at night, Because I can't forget, Back and forth through my mind, Behind a cigarette, And the message comin' from my eyes says leave it alone... Don't wanna hear about it, Every single one's got a story to tell, Everyone knows about it From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell, And if I catch it comin' back my way I'm gonna serve it to you, And that ain't what you want to hear, But that's what I'll do And the feeling coming from my bones says find a home... I'm going to Wichita, Far from this opera forevermore, I'm gonna work the straw Make the sweat drip out of every pore, And I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding Right before the lord, All the words are gonna bleed from me, And I will think no more And the stains comin' from my blood tell me "Go back home"...

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/21/2005 11:32:24 PM | In The White Stipes NEw Get behind me Satan the cover soong White Orchid, , is Jack actualy saying white orchid or is he saying something else, to me it sounds like something else...
This is the Song I am talking about
You got a reaction You got a reaction didn't, you? You took a white orchid You took a white orchid turned it blue Something better than nothing Something better than nothing, it's giving up We all need to do something Try keep the truth from showing up How dare you How old are you now, anyway? How dare you How old are you now, anyway? You're given a flower But I guess there's just no pleasing you Your lips tastes sour But you think that it's just me teasing you You got a reaction You got a reaction, didn't you? You took a white orchid You took a white orchid turned it blue Get behind me Get behind me now, anyway Get behind me Get behind me now, anyway You got a reaction You got a reaction, didn't you? You took a white orchid You took a white orchid turned it blue

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/22/2005 6:21:51 AM | oh god too many to name.....i loved everything they have ever done...im a fan of Apple Blossom, because it feels like hes singing to me. and then there is Mary, and his cover of Jolieen, The Union Forever, astro, the big three (killed my baby)
to name a few
and if youre looking for peverse sexual meanings in his songs, keep looking because there are none. hes not like that. he doesnt even like talking about anything close to sex. In a perverse manner anyway. He is very much a gentilman and an undead dandy, which makes me love him even more.
Hes the reason why i still believe in true love.

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/22/2005 7:31:20 PM | Fav White Stripes song of the moment is "As Ugly As I seem"
Judge yourself if you feel the need Just let me known to be In search of the truth myself There is a drop of blood on the ground And it seems to me that it's not my kind And I can't be sure if it's yours or mine
I am as ugly as I seem Worse than all your dreams Could ever make me Could ever make me........

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/22/2005 11:09:33 PM | Gotta Love "Ball and Biscuit!" Love that c*cky blues sound! Definately the best original they've put out.... I like "You've got her in your pocket"...simplistic, but the lyrics are great...
What really got me hooked on the Stripes is when I heard them do Robert Johnson's "Stop Breakin' Down"....HELL YA!!!!
"The Nurse" gets credit for giving us the unexpected....but I'm not all that impressed with the new album....lyrical genious aside...the music sounds lazy...Jack is much more talented than what he protrays on the new album.....

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/23/2005 1:26:20 AM | | I dig on the new album allright, i like how it manages to be more complex and more simple at the same time then previous sounds of theirs. Maybee I am just being a pretentious musicality phony though. I am very excited for the direction of their growth. Do you know the album was done entirely in analog not digital sound? | |

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/23/2005 8:51:50 PM | Ok forreal here, Ball and biscuite is the sexiest song ive ever heard. I remember when i first heard it on a bus ride home for toronto, it was so hot that i became to aroused...mmm.
I think it was an awesome venture for this new album. You can totally hear his Americana influance, in the song Little Ghost, when he says in a twang with only back up vocals... Noone else could see this aparition....... It brought me right back to Cold Mountain when he was a dirty southerner....oh god. that was so sexy.
and when he songs, "Dont know any lulabys, dont know how to make you mine....but i can learn" I sware to god, if that isnt EVERYTHING i want to hear.....then someone shoot me.
I <3 Jack White.

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/24/2005 2:59:56 PM | ANyone have any guess about this song, its celearly about something...
I never knew that I had to be this protector so many thoughts inside my head a strange collector But now but now but now now, now, now, now, now You thought you heard a sound there's no one else around looking at the door it's coming through the floor 300 people living out in west virginia have no idea of all these thoughts that lie within ya but now but now but now now, now, now, now, now You thought you heard a sound there's no one else around looking at the door it's coming through the floor
I love it... Also Black Math has really neat lyrics any guess about a meaning there, go ahead go out on a limb, no one will laugh, have fun make something up. hahahaha
Don't you think that I'm bound to react now? My fingers definately turning to black now Maybe I'll put my live on ice And teach myself, maybe that'll be nice My books are sitting at the top of the stack now The longer words are really breaking my back now Maybe I'll learn to understand Drawing a square with a pencil in hand Mathematically turning the page Unequivocally showing my age I'm practically center stage Undeniably earning your wage Maybe I'll put my live on ice And teach myself, maybe that'll be nice Listen master can I ask you a question Is it the fingers, or the brain that you're teaching this lesson? Maybe I'll put my live on ice And teach myself, maybe that'll be nice
Anyhow If you had to pick between Ball and Biscut or Cold Cold night which would it be?

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/24/2005 7:45:46 PM | | Seven Nation Army is a good song, its sad that Jack White is the only thing good in that band. Their drummer is, to be blunt, boring as sin. All she does is play the same beats in every song. Jack White is a really good guitar player though, his skills make up for the lack of talent that his drummer has. | |

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/25/2005 7:22:52 AM | Ok, now the deal with Meg. THE WHITE STRIPES WOULDNT WORK IF IT WAS ANOTHER DRUMMER! If you dont get it, then you never will, so move on.
Shes a simplistic drummer, and it counters Jacks amazing guitar playing, its perfect. they balance themselves out perfect, and for people who know little to nothing about music, thats why jack didnt op for a better drummer. because they dont need it.
He even says, if youre going to get all strung up on the simple drumming and the fact that we have no bassist, then move on to another band because youre not going to get it.
Ruby. I sware to god if i have to hear one more stupid statment about that.
ill repeat this...IT WOULDNT WORK WITH A BETTER DRUMMER!

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 8/25/2005 2:38:53 PM | either way...i'd still like to hear Jack do a side project....
You can be minimalistic...and at the same time mix things up a bit....

| Your Favorite White Stripes Song? Posted: 9/5/2005 6:45:45 AM | I see this as anti-minimalistic in thinking
I blew it And if I knew what to do, then I'd do it But the point that I have, I'll get to it And forever for her is over for me Forever, just the word that she said that means never To be with another together And with the weight of a feather it tore into me Then I knew it All the work that it took to get through it On the wings of a feather that flew it Fell onto my shoe it cut up into me
Well, everybody's reaction is changing you But their love is only a fraction of what I can give to you So let's do it, just get on a plane and just do it Like the birds and the bees and get to it Just get out of town and forever be free Forever, I wonder we could stay together It could change if you want for the better Just turn down my shirt and lay down next to me
I blew it And if I knew what to do, then I'd do it But the point that I have, I'll get to it And forever for her is over for me Forever, just the word that she said that means never To be with another together And with the weight of a feather it tore into me
Well, everybody's reaction is changing you But their love is only a fraction of what I can give to you Well, let's do it, let's get on a plane and just do it Like the birds and the bees and get to it Just get out of town and forever be free Forever, I wonder we could stay together It could change if you want for the better Just tug at my shirt and lay down next to me
