Posted: 10/20/2005 4:41:13 AM | Black and white do produce some nice beautiful looking people. At 16-18, Before i went gay, I dated a black girl. I cared for her alote and i figured after we both went to college-we'd probably get married. But that never materialized. While both my parents liked her, her parents where a different story. Her mom finally came around to liking me. But her father hated my guts. So, did her two brothers. I even got suspended from school-along with one or both of her brothers because they tried to kick my ass many times. Right before graduation, her father, shipped her off to Alabama to live with her Aunt, against her will. We were seperated....I couldn't locate her and no one told me a damn thing to where she was. Nor did she call me. Years later after college, a friend of mind said, "Guess who's in town?" She was but, with her black husband (which was fine), There was no contact between the two of us....But, i was happy that she was happy. Again, years later before moving to florida, guess who contacts me? Her! We spoke for hours. She was married to a new man and they had 3 children...the husband,white.
Well,I guess it's the way it should be, considering i was already gay by then and with a partner of my own. But i will never forget her,..Ever. | |

I am all for it I mean nothing against my race but I tend to lean towards latinos and caucasians more not to say i would not date a black guy (esp 50cent) lol...but i agree with most peeps in here are saying i think color should be the last thing it is all about how that person makes u feel and treats you. Well, that is an official definition of race. Seems to me that almost anybody you date in the US is of some other race. Race is not unique to skin color nor is it separated by only African, Asian, Indian and Caucasian as our official documents in the US would have us think.
I think it best to blur the lines of race and focus on the lines of commonalities. By definition, all Americans can be considered as a single race. Travel abroad some time and you will understand that context, you can pick out other Americans, regardless of skin color, in a heartbeat.

My ex wife is African in origin. When it comes to looks, for me, it is about proportions. When it comes to what's inside, character, intelligence and like mindedness are key. Did I miss anything?

Yes, the word Caucasian was coined by a German, and the New Oxford American Dictionary characterizes it as a derogatory. Note in the first definition from dictionary.com how it uses the example 'the German race'.

Same goes for women of course~ and I (currently) live in Oklahoma, probably one of the states with the most conservative values, and NO ONE I personally know here gives a big cow chip about anyone's race -Thank goodness!! | |

Posted: 2/21/2006 9:28:00 AM | answer: I am not really attracted to the look of most black women. I don't get into or reject any relationship based soley on looks. So, it is possible that I end up with a black woman, but not as likely as a white one. I have no experience with asian, etc. but I can say I am more attracted to them than black women. For a relationship, I must be attracted to a person physically as well as be attracted to their personality.
Of course, ethnicity comes into play, and most people tend to stay within their own ethnicity as it is a part of human nature to seek people with similar culture and values to yourself. If we didn't then culture wouldn't remain diverse and have common groups.
anecdote:
I recently had a relationship with a black girl. I never would have talked to her if I had met her anywhere but online. She messeged me on yahoo because of my profile (she wanted to learn firebreathing). I talked to her online and then on the phone before meeting her in person. We have had a more than friends relationship, and that would have never happend if I had seen her before I met her.
I don't think that it is bad that I would have rejected her because of looks if I didn't know her better, it is just a fact. But she is a very interesting person and it is strange how similar we are, she even thinks like me. More so than anyone I have met.
strange question:
I have been "intimate" with two black women. All women have a certain smell about them, I don't mean perfume or lotion, but their vaginas. It is an interesting thing to note that the black women I have met smell nothing like the white women, but the black women smell similar as do the white women. Does anyone have alot of experience who can validate this? | |
