Fools rush in where angles fear to tread
Lies have short legs

You gain strength, courage and confidence with every experience.
All life’s best adventures start with fear.
Never let your persistance and passion, turn into stubborness and ignorance.
Art is seeing what everyone else has seen, and thinking what nobody else has thought.

| What's your favourite quote? Posted: 8/29/2005 7:09:07 PM | Andrew Marvell. 1621–1678 To His Coy Mistress HAD we but world enough, and time, This coyness, Lady, were no crime We would sit down and think which way To walk and pass our long love's day. Thou by the Indian Ganges' side Shouldst rubies find: I by the tide Of Humber would complain. I would Love you ten years before the Flood, And you should, if you please, refuse Till the conversion of the Jews. My vegetable love should grow Vaster than empires, and more slow; An hundred years should go to praise Thine eyes and on thy forehead gaze; Two hundred to adore each breast, But thirty thousand to the rest; An age at least to every part, And the last age should show your heart. For, Lady, you deserve this state, Nor would I love at lower rate.
But at my back I always hear Time's wingèd chariot hurrying near; And yonder all before us lie Deserts of vast eternity. Thy beauty shall no more be found, Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound My echoing song: then worms shall try That long preserved virginity, And your quaint honour turn to dust, And into ashes all my lust: The grave 's a fine and private place, But none, I think, do there embrace. Now therefore, while the youthful hu Sits on thy skin like morning dew And while thy willing soul transpires At every pore with instant fires, Now let us sport us while we may, And now, like amorous birds of prey, Rather at once our time devour Than languish in his slow-chapt power. Let us roll all our strength and all Our sweetness up into one ball, And tear our pleasures with rough strife Thorough the iron gates of life: Thus, though we cannot make our sun Stand still, yet we will make him run.

| What's your favourite quote? Posted: 8/30/2005 12:32:03 PM | I just wrote this for a friend that is going thru some rough times.
We will have to weather many storms in our life time; some greater than others, but in the end the sun will always shine another day. The flowers that bloom from this are what we look back upon as our life’s accomplishments. Even the most regal of flower beds can not be made without pulling some weeds from time to time. Do not allow yourself to become so tangled as to forget to enjoy the rose that you’ve created.

| What's your favourite quote? Posted: 9/1/2005 8:55:47 PM | | It may seem like all the good ones are taken, but you haven't really met all of them, yet, have you?!? My favorite is: "What portends? What will the future bring? I do not know, I have no presentiment. When a spider hurls itself down from some fixed point, consistently with it's nature, it always sees before it only an empty space wherein it can find no foothold however much it sprawls. And so it is with me: always before me an empty space; what drives me forward is a consistency which lies behind me. This life is topsy-turvey..." | |
