| sugar mummy Posted: 6/5/2006 11:09:23 AM | | Sounds like a great job, doesn't it? Sad thing is, most men who apply don't know the rules. It's a lot more than just sex. You have to dress well, have great manners, set aside your likes or dislikes, understand that you will be thought of as a male prostitute, be on call 24 hrs. a day, and if you want to stay employed, you had better not even think of another woman. Golly, change a few of the words, and it sounds a lot like being a wife. | |

| sugar mummy Posted: 6/5/2006 11:25:18 AM | I had a sugar momma for a while. It didn't last long, because I wasn't comfortable with it.
At first, it was kinda fun, having her just buy me anything and everything on a whim. But it's just not something I want to stick with long term. I mean, I look for an equal in a relationship. And I wasn't being treated like her equal. More like a boy-toy or something.

See this board does not like new threads to be started that have already been out there before.
Some folks when they want to discuss that topic will search and reopen it.
As opposed to starting a new thread which might get deleted by the mods since this other thread is already out there.

| sugar mummy Posted: 4/12/2010 5:12:27 PM | | Timely thread in that I was listening to the radio today and a therapist was talking about how a lot of men under 40 don't seem to have a problem being supported by women, unlike older men who feel it's shameful not to be the main provider. Young guys grew up with divorced mothers who did everything -- breadwinner, homemaker, mommy -- and who spoiled them. So now these same boys/men expect their girlfriends to be "all of the above" plus cater to them sexually as well. I thought it was an interesting theory. We've heard women on these forums complaining about this type of behavior. | |

You could go one step further and talk about how PEOPLE under a certain age have no problem being supported by ANYONE,,,using all forms of generosity that they are offered and quickly accepted.
