| Looking for Montréal friends to help with city life and French Posted: 9/7/2005 5:56:10 PM | Hello all.
I am making this thread to see if anyone is interested in meeting/talking with a Newfie trying to get used to city life. This is a big place for me and I am a little overwhelmed. I'd just like to see if I can speak with people who are willing to speak with me and maybe help me out with French. I am attending UQÁM and I don't speak much French so it's a little crazy for me.
Well, if so then drop me a line.
Peace. | |

To learn and have fun I do the follow. First I listen to good french songs like JJ Goldmamm ones, read the lyrics, sing along, study the words and grammar and voila j'adore parler francais.
Bonne chance! | |

| Practising French.... French LANGUAGE, that is. ;-) Posted: 3/30/2007 12:29:15 PM | Hi there,
I'd like to chat a bit in French, to see if I can improve my limited understanding of the language. I'm fun, funny & smart, and think I'd make a good chat bud!
Any interest? | |

Yeah, that's right, nobody in Montreal speaks English?!*%!
I live in Quebec City and I don't even have to speak French. I am bilingual, but frankly I like English better. That's just to say that in Montreal it's a piece of cake to speak almost any language you want exclusively. When I go to downtown Montreal near Ste. Laurent, near the end of the street, almost everyone is speaking Chinese.
I'm sure you're only joking, but it's not really funny. | |
