What I would like is a top 3 list of profiles that interested you enough to respond...
Preferably not because of the picture, but because of the content....
What was it about the content that had you interested...?
What thoughts you had on replying....
What relationship were you expecting...
And any other pertinent info, you would like to add...
How much do you weigh a picture in to the factor of responding out of 10....
What angles for a photograph do you like best...
For those too bashful to list profiles on here, you can message them to me...

Just so you know...his picture wasn't a big motivation for talking to him because he didn't have one but he sure made me curious. He wasn't a "traditionally" handsome man but not sore on the eyes either. LOL | |

Posted: 9/9/2005 9:56:47 AM | This profile http://www.plentyoffish.com/member622856.htm really caught my eye the first time I read it, and it didn't have a picture so that was not an issue at all. I liked the fact that he listed quite a few interests (I like to see more than just one or 2) and he specifically restated what he was looking for in his "About Me" section. Sometimes it's hard to know what guys mean when they say they are looking for things like "Hanging Out", so it's nice if the guy can clarify. Also, everything was nice and gramatically correct with no spelling errors.
Things I would change would be to add the first date section in as it can give you an idea of what they'd want to do if you met up.
In terms of pictures I like one that shows a clear shot of the face from whichever side you think makes you look best! Not too fuzzy is preferable, and I don't need to see body shots, I don't really care if you have nice abs. That will just be a bonus when I meet you :P

I can see it now...what starts out as innocent fun...results in the opposite...people showing BAD examples of profiles as well. I suggest you ask peeps to email these to you directly...whether bashful or not. :)
Secondly...Orlandomac...what do YOU like in women's profiles?? That is prolly your answer...we like similar things as our co-gender!
Lastly...will answer a couple of your questions...just for the fun of it! :)

Personality and Intellect are #1 for me...Photo comes in close third. I don't care how great someone is...if I am not physically attracted to them, then it is a no-go chance for a physical relationship. However...as friends, it would be ok!
Angles...meaning types of shots? I prefer one that shows a clear view of the face since I am more of a face person than body person. One that shows a general physique so you can tell if they are healthy/proportionate. One that shows a smile and their Dental hygiene! LOL One that shows them OUT doing something they enjoy...their personality shining through. One reason I posted the pic I did...is because it is so good of an example of the fun and silly me, out having a fun time with my girls! ;)
What was it about the content that had you interested...?
For me it is originality...a sense of humor...not the same 'ole, same 'ole. I despise profiles that sound desperate..."I am sooo tired of being lonely" or ones that sound egotistical instead of secure..."I know I can be the best lover/BF you have ever had!"

I'm a little disappointed by the lack of input so far.... especially when it could make a difference... to both sexes...
Harley, I don't think it's against the rules... but you are probably correct in that it could get out of hand...
Personally I thought because we were talking about positives... that it wouldn't matter..
but I could see your view as well as maybe some people might not want the extra attention even though positive..
So if you would like to partake please do email me the profiles... just to spare the frail of character..

Besides the basics... there is a reason why they call it The Opposite sex.... and it is reflected in what each sex prefers... the preferences are distinct unto themselves... although I understand what you mean... cause the basics are the same...
I thought about putting a picture of myself being fun and silly, but the cow kept waking up from the flash of the camera before I tipped it... lol (Warning to Frail Characters, no actual cows were tipped in the production of this imaginary story)
Once again ladies thank you for your responses, we have uploaded them into our super computer, and our first production male clones will be programmed with your useful advice...
although there is a bug in our first clone, he is a nice guy... so no one wants him... but he has lots of friends.... lol | |
