New York man sued for online dating lies

Married doctor told women he was single

NEW YORK - A Manhattan fertility specialist has been sued by two women who say he broke their hearts after meeting them through an online dating site on which he pretended to be single.

In their lawsuits the two women, Tiffany Wang and Jing Huang, accused Dr. Khaled Zeitoun, 46, of pretending to be single and using mind games to entice them into sexual relationships with tales of past lives.

According to court papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court and made public this week, Zeitoun is married with three children. Wang said she met him in March 2001 through a Web site on which he said he was single and had never married.

"Zeitoun claimed he and Wang had been married to each other in previous lives," Wang's lawsuit said, adding that the doctor told her he had mistreated her in that life and "searched for her in this lifetime to correct his past mistakes."

Wang says that in May 2002, he asked her to marry him but only proposed "to see the look of joy on her face."

In a separate suit filed earlier this year, Huang said she met the reproductive endocrinologist in October 2003 through an online dating service. He fed her a similar line about being single and having been married to her in a previous life.

Huang eventually realized he was cheating on her and the relationship ended in July 2004.

Both women are seeking unspecified money damages for infliction of severe emotional distress "outside the boundaries of human decency and social norms."

In a written response to the court papers filed by Huang, Zeitoun admitted that he told her he was single and had relationships with other women he met on the Internet.

So he is getting sued?

The judge finds you guilty of being a "playa".

good grief....what's the grounds for the suit? False Advertising?

Granted, the fact that he was jerking people around like that is pretty despicable. I'd never heard of anyone actually suing because of it....I'll be interested in seeing the outcome of this.

It'll never go through. Doing so would set a precedent that would knock society on its ass.

People lie. Other people misunderstand the truth. Nobody's perfectly happy.

Giving them the chance to sue just because someone lied to them romantically is a shifty, downhill path to Hell.

Agreed, xander.....I'd guess that this will be thrown out, if it hasn't been already.

I remember reading about a guy who was banned from Match for bedding 80 women but would not commit to them, so they all complained to the Mods and he was booted

You can try to sue anyone for anything. doesn't mean you're going to win. God bless America.
In Canada lot of stuff doesn't even make it to court.

OMG!! only in the states..lol good excuse to get on judge Joe Brown or any other of those great soap opera replacement shows..lol
I can think of way worse things on a dating site that can happen..Girl i wrk with, was on this site and dating some guy..was a nutter and a stalker and is now in jail for beating a fmale fish that wouldnt stay with him, till he put her in the hospitol..He is now enjoying his living arrangements in one of our lovely penal facilities.Although i think he should be shipped to our great neighbors in the U.S. and can share a cell with a gorgeous man that can always use another cell pet..lol
but that is more newsworthy and court worthy than a couple of fmales that are trying to cash in and get their 15 min of fame.

He used that load of bullshit to get these women?? Notice: plural; these women. It actually worked. Twice. :o

I'm not sure which end of the scale is worse .. the negative number equating the women's intelligence or the positive number equating his scum factor.

I'd be too embarassed to file a suit saying I fell for that "we were married in a past life" line. But then you can sue McDonalds for you being stupid enough to put hot coffee between your legs in a moving car that you're making move.

I hope he presented her with a huge rock, thus the 'look on her face'.

I'd take that as payment, hock it, and move on.

agreed ^ . If McD can lose, so can the Doc.
At least he's been exposed.

Someone should locate his post and do the
same dirty deed to him.

What does his wife say??

It's the lawyers that do this kinda thing. Do our courts have nothing better to do than take cases like this that waste everyone's time and money and are just plain stupid? If I was a judge I'd hold the attorney in contempt for being a greedy idiot. But that's just my opinion.

I doubt if it will get thrown out of court as it should. The courts sytems here really don't have any common sense. They let the McDonald lawsuite go through and up held it on appeal. wonder if they are going to sue the dating sites for allowing married men on thier sites....maybe I shouldn't give the lawyers any more bright ideas..lol
