Favourite Movie Moment?Page 1 of 1
Was talking to a friend last night about Medieval Metal music, which jumped to Wagners Return of the Valkryies which jumped to a scene from the movie Apocalypse now. Thinking about it further, That Particular scene in the movie was incredible, how it blended music with imagery. I guess we refer to this as a music video of some sort. The US Air Cavalry preparing and then bombard the enemy. What a perfect mix

Anywho, enough of my ramblin'?

The final lightsaber duel between Luke and Darth Vader....the whole scene was enough to make you cheer him on as he finally defeated that mean old dad of his.

How geeky of me to say that.

The campfire scene in Blazing Saddles.

Well... it's kind of music.

Doing this before KC can....

Team America: World Police....best analogy in the movie:

Gary Johnston: "We're d1cks! We're reckless, arrogant, stupid d1cks. And the Film Actors Guild are pu$$ies. And Kim Jong Il is an a$$hole. Pu$$ies don't like d1cks, because pu$$ies get fvcked by d1cks. But d1cks also fvck a$$holes; a$$holes that just want to sh1t on everything. Pu$$ies may think they can deal with a$$holes their way. But the only thing that can fvck an a$$hole is a d1ck, with some balls. The problem with d1cks is: they fvck too much or fvck when it isn't appropriate - and it takes a pu$$y to show them that. But sometimes, pu$$ies can be so full of sh1t that they become a$$holes themselves... because pu$$ies are an inch and half away from a$$holes. I don't know much about this crazy, crazy world, but I do know this: If you don't let us fvck this a$$hole, we're going to have our d1cks covered in sh1t!"

Also....the song to end all songs; the Team America Anthem:

"America, fvck yeah! Comin' again to save the motherfvckin' day, yeah! America, fvck yeah! Freedom is the only way, yeah! Terrorists, your game is through, 'cause now you have to answer to: America, fvck yeah! So lick my butt and suck on my balls! America, fvck yeah! What you gonna do when we come for you now!"

Now, there's always the priceless Kim Jong Il/Lisa exchance:

Kim Jong Il: "Now you see, the changing of the worrd is inevitabre!"
Lisa: "I'm sorry, it's what?"
Kim Jong Il: "Inevit, inevitabre."
Lisa: "One more time."
Kim Jong Il: [shouts] "Inevitebre! Jesus Christ, open your fvcking ears!"

Let's not forget Spottswoode's terrible math:

Spottswoode: "From what I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.N.C.E has gathered, it would be 9/11 times 100."
Gary Johnston: "9/11 times a hundred? Jesus, that's..."
Spottswoode: "Yes, 91,100."
Chris: "Basically, all the worst parts of the bible."

And, finally....when Spottswoode discovers Gary outside the theatre:

Gary: "Oh, I get it. I'm supposed to get in your car and let you put your finger inside me. Then if I go down on you I get a movie part."

Spottswoode: "Please, Gary, I'm not from Hollywood. I'm not going to fvck your mouth and my time is extremely valuable."

That one is a good scene too. Last of the Mohigans.

Another good one would be the South Park movie.

The Uncle F**ka song

the classic "Kyle's Mom is a B!tch" in D minor

so many classic parts in that movie!

"That's easy...."
"Pez...cherry flavored Pez...no doubt about it"...
Rob Reiner's 'Stand by me'...

Here's a bunch:
1. Just about every scene in the movie Taxi Driver where Travis is driving around at night in NY with relaxing jazz music in the background. These scenes intrigue me in a strange nocturnal kind of way.

2. The unusual scene from The Fifth Element where the alien diva is singing opera to a funky electronic beat.

3. The opening scene to the movie Blade Runner. (Vangelis in the background.)

4. Casablanca-As Time Goes By

5. Bloodsport-The Kumate theme (whatever it's called). This scene is somewhat inspirational.

6. The end of Casino. The song "House of the Rising Sun" and every player in the Las Vegas racket getting whacked.

7. Nobody has probably heard/seen this before but the scene from "Star Trek: Generations" where Picard is trapped in the nexus and this really beautiful music is playing in the background score. It really enhances the dramatic effect of the scene from a humanistic point of view.

8. Just about any scene that has involved the Rolling Stones song "Gimme Shelter". i.e. Casino, Forrest Gump, Air America etc.

9. True Lies/Schindler's List: Astor Piazolla's "Por Una Cabeza".

10. Forrest Gump, Vietnam, and "All Along the Watchtower".

Maybe I gave too much.
