Anyone else facing this wonderful situation in Canada that Klein has created for us parents and kids in the regards to the $400 bonus cheques heading our way...lets not forget the quadruple heating costs also hitting us real soon...what answer or explanation do you give your kids that helps them understand life and what the government giveth...they also take away..

Nevermind that! My ex is looking for some!!!!! I have both of our kids living with me, I pay the bills, I buy their groceries, he doesnt' pay support...and he's pissed that 'I'm' getting $1200 when he's only getting $400. What a joke! My kids don't know about it...lol but they are only almost 9 and 4...so they will love the new clothes they get, the food in their bellies and the heat coming out of the registers when it's -15 at night!

Lol Karma-the $400 thats on its way eventually to every man, woman and child as per our lovely Canadian government which we shall soon need to meet the astronomical cost of keeping our tushes warm this winter

oooh when's that supposed to come? is that like the $200 we got back a few years ago that they talked about for a few years before we even got it? Thank god I live in a building where I don't need heat, it's so insulated I don't need the heater at all! But then again my rent is all inclusive so I guess it doesn't really matter lol

chele74, I hear ya. I pay my ex $2100 a month in support and have no problems about her getting $1200. We discussed it and we both agreed on opening savings accounts for the kids. Alberta gets it cause we have a kickass Premier who made lots of cuts years ago and wasnt very popular but he got us out of debt. Oh yea, the oil/gas didnt hurt either. Oh, the kids are thrilled about getting a bank account. Especially my daughter cause she wants her own debit card. Teenagers.........
