Posted: 10/5/2005 1:19:52 AM | Sexual Preditors and Pedifiles go to jail or prison for a year or two and get out on probation and work release and are released in to society and are allowed to move in to places where kids are present. And notification of these preditors so close to our kids are slim to none!
Why is the punishment for such a horrible crime so unjust and moderate?
The missing children epadimic is increasing year to year. Now days you dont only have to worry about a priditor snatching your child from the side walk on the way to school or at the local mall or playground but also entering your home and takeing your child from the front steps or worse their own beds.
Why the hell would our goverment let the habitual offenders, the preditors who have been convicted several times back on our streets and in to our communitys? And not even bother to tell or inform you or have concern about it untill 4 kids go missing or report rape.?
The Drug dealers, Probation Violators, Traffic Offenders are doing the time for them.
They get 5 and 10 years and they top it off by taking all their possesions.
Why dont we take the possesions from the preditors? Why dont they get 5, 10, Life?
Better yet why dont they get exocuted, Even though the child dose not die, apart of them has and a part of their soul permently damaged, some of these children would probally rather have died than to live with this pain and also have the thought weighing on their mind that this same preditor that hurt them so badly is living in the same town and is breathing the same air. Walking around like nothing happened, Like they are a decent and normal person.

This year alone there has been over 1000 rapes and abductions and attempts.
And more than hafe of these people where already known as sexual preditors and have done time and are also repeat offenders.
The Goverment needs to stop being so dam greedy and money driven that they focus on the drug industry rather than protecting the children and putting these sexual preditors where they belong......OFF OUR STREETS AND AWAY FROM OUR COMMUNITYS AND SUBCLUDED FROM OUR CHILDREN AND BEHIND BARS LIKE THE ANIMALS THAT THEY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will find you can get XXX ammount of information
Then try to continue the investigation into things like Ritual Abuse of children
In both cases you will end up with a question
Why are they so protected????
The protection comes from positions of power
That is why they appear to get lenient sentences
Drug dealers and Traffic offenders do not have this protection

THE FIRST TIME you sexually assault a child you should be locked up for LIFE. There is -no- rehabilitation for pedophiles. 1 in 2 will recommit. Do you want to take that chance with your children?
The first time they commit an act against a child like this, they should be thrown in jail for -life-. No chance to get out.
The epidemic of disturbed individuals like child predators is not going to go away unless people start demanding tougher laws. We can't simply have short term memory loss when another dead child is found in the hands of a known sex offender..we can't simply say 'oh what a terrible thing to happen..but it wont happen to my kids' and then forget about it until the NEXT one...and the next one is more heinous than the last.
We need to stand up now...demand tougher laws...or this epidemic will -continue- to spread like wildfire. | |

Personally,
First offence they should go in for life. And none of this segregated b.s. Put them in with the general populace. Life is absolute -hell- for child predators in general populace....
Put a big ass sign on them saying 'PEDOPHILE', even though they have to carry their papers around....degrade them. Degrade them just like they degraded their victims.
And, have the guards turn a blind eye to whatever happens.
If they die, oh well. Means we the taxpayers dont have to pay to feed them. | |

The Goverment should start a thing where if you hurt children and are a sexual preditor
They should be banished from the regular population and put on a island or at a place where they would have to build a house out of what material that was provided and have to hunt there own food and plant gardens, And the tax payers and the goverment would not have to support them for their crime and sickness. | |

Then when they are released, they must report once a month to the authorities, live in an area that is appointed by the courts, not allowed to live near or associate with children and they must disclose their criminal history to people they interact with. | |

Posted: 10/5/2005 9:58:29 PM | Anyone who act against children should receive the higher possible sentence, and it should be a national zero tolerance for them and for all rapist, I don't care if that is the first offence. I agree with Babylonia, even through I feel castration is a bit of a barbaric solution, but until we have a better way to work with this type of psycho criminals, it may be the only solution. Through I hope these issues would receive the proper care when investigated by law enforcement, so there should be no confusion about someone been guilty, I will hate to see any innocent men or women getting this treatment to find out years later they were innocent. Regardless, under no circumstance the sentence should be less then life in prison with chemical castration to any child molester, or sexual predator.
I had seen of first hand how well protected are their rights, I personally did all in my hands to get one prosecuted, and it took weeks of talking to the proper authorities, from one office to another, at the end I had to forced them to listen, it was insane. Still that guy got far less than a year for that, and chances are he is somewhere in the south molesting children or raping then still... I have very strong opinions about the justice system in this matter, and if it was up to me, they will pay dearly on sight upon confirmation of their activities, I do not believe they should be free, hell I do not believe they should still be alive after the facts.

I was just told yesterday of a situation where a twelve year old boy molested a six year old boy. Should he be sent to prison for life, or sentenced to death? He is being taken for counseling. More money is spent on retention of offenders in our prisons per capita annually than we spend of our children.
These patterns are set when a person is a young child. Perhaps we, as society, need to bite the bullet and spend the necessary money up front to help these people when they are very young. The cost for counseling these young victims (who either continue to be victimized or act out by becoming offenders) is now borne by their families; or they go to a government-sponsored counseling service where the counselors really don't have the experience or training to help them.
Pedophilia is a mental illness. It goes unattended until the pedophile acts on his/her impulses. Yes, usually by this time many are unrehabilitable.
A Five Star prison? Which ones have y'all visited lately. Prisons are overcrowded, dark, sterile, and dangerous, devoid of anything that could ever soften any human being's heart. They are frightening places - full of hate, anger, pain, frustration, and most of all - fear. (But then that would be another thread, wouldn't it?)
Few who are sent to prison stand a chance of being rehabilitated via the prison system's methods. If they are rehabilitated it is through their own will power and strength of fortitude.
What to do with pedophiles? Get them help when they are young, impressionable and hurting from the victimization they have just experienced - before they become a pedophile who has acted out. For those who have committed a crime, I agree, for protection of society they should be incarcerated for the rest of their lives. They are almost always driven to commit the same crime over again. And they have usually molested a minimum of five children for the one they are being sent to prison for. | |

the problem is,...anytime you impose any permanent resolution,...like castration,...or tatooing ,..or even the ultimate,..the death sentence,...there is always the problem of,...
what if you are wrong?,....hard to glue it back once you've lopped off body parts,...
and if you doubt that it's possible to get it wrong,...all you have to do is look at the Mac Martin case,....That's the day care school that was a family run buisiness where the most off the wall and downright ludicrous allegations where believed about this elderly mother,...her daughter and son in-law,...all of whom where sent to jail,...
and where in fact TOTALLY INNOCENT,...of the charges of rape,..and ritual abuse,...
the problem is also that pedophilia by most phyciatric researchers is incurable,..
reason being it's hard wired to the individual,...in the same way as all other sexual prefferences,...or predelictions,...
And chemical castration CAN NOT BE PERMANENT,...unless the idividual pedophile takes his meds EVERY DAY,...FOREVER,...so how can we be assured they do?
The only way that makes sense to me is that it be administered daily by some clinic where the person has to go to get the medication,...this actually serves as another great way to keep track of them,....if they don't show for their meds,...it's an automatic "go to jail",...do not pass go or collect $200.00,....
but there is another problem,....VIAGRA,...and all of it's little clones,...
in an alarming increase in offenders,...both rapists and pedophiles have stated their use of these drugs,....I have no information on what this would do to a person who is also taking chemical castrating drugs,..I can only wonder,....
It is said in the life of a pedophile,...their numbers of victims rank in the hundreds,.....
at 1/100,...X the number of pedophiles,...well you do the math,...
and although it is not a guarantee that any child who is victimised becomes an abuser,..
there is a higher risk of this possibility,....than in a normal child,...in the same way that a child of an alcoholic is MORE predisposed to becoming an alcoholic,...
so what is the answer?,...well longer jail terms is a good start,...even if someone is wrongfully encarcerated,..at least while in jail,...the wheels of justice have time to reverse the conviction if it is in error,....and upon release,...daily check in,...whith no wriggle room if there is a no show without good cause,...(hospitalization being a good cause,...a cold isn't)
Making Viagra and it's ilk,...not as readily available as it is currently,...another important step,.
I know that there are men who do suffer from irrectile disfuntion,....but not every man on the planet,...and now drugs like this are available to women and although it is rare,..womon also have been known to be offenders,...
personally if I would loose little sleep if every abuser was errased off the planet,...
that's my knee jerk reaction,...but highly unlikely to carry out,...
in some countries,...the victims determine the offenders punishment,...it's a nice thought but not very practical in it's application as it then requires some victims to live with that action as well,...some might find it theraputic and purging some might find it a burden added onto the load,...
I do believe however in all of this,...the victim,...should be considered FIRST,....
their rights should come befor the abuser,....way WAYYYYY!!! before the abuser's rights,...
as well as THEIR treatment and recovery,.... | |
