Posted: 10/5/2005 6:24:20 PM | I don't think I've ever been intimidated by many people beyond my 11th grade biology teacher Mrs. Motychak.  Intimidation is a sign that you feel inferior...and while i don't feel superior to anyone, I don't think they have anything on ME , either. I have a lion's share of self-confidance.
I will say that I have a hard time trusting drop dead gorgeous men who have been that way all their lives. I have a same age uncle I grew up with who coasted through life on his amazing good looks. It predjudices my view towards gorgeous men a little.
Honestly though? I FAR prefer a man who looks real, not like he stepped out of a magazine ad. Give me a face and form with character and I'll choose it over perfection ANY day. | |

But what's even more intimidating is the hot guy who is also super nice...I can't handle that at all...just the other day I was at my neighbors and her GORGEOUS friend came over to have some beers, he offered me one-I mumbled a pathetic excuse and took off...phew!

I dated a guy.........that looked at himself more in the mirror then I ever dreamt of! Whenever we were together... he would actuall grab me.... and make me stand in front of him... and he would look at us as a couple together.............. It was REALLY weird! | |

Posted: 10/5/2005 7:04:37 PM | I think women are intimidated by HOT guys because MOST of them, NOT all... are infact stuck on themselves and think they are God's gift to women... they way they treat you if you are average looking makes us feel uncomfortable, and intimidated... I have days where I feel beautiful and a hot guy can do me no harm... but I also have days where I feel, well, like a cow... and HOT guys make me feel even worse about myself...
~On the other hand... I have recently started dating a guy.. 5' 10, black hair, BIG brown eyes... VERY athletic... at the gym EVERY night... I happen to think that he is VERY attractive, he's sweet, polite, SUCH a gentleman, and.... inspite of me being a little overweight... he thinks I am gorgeous... tells me he misses me, always calls me beautiful, sunshine, princess... he tells me I should be proud of myself, not to be shy, or feel uncomfortable around him.... (am I still on topic here?) ...
That said... It depends on the guy.... if you have a huge ego... we are not afraid of you, we are just totally turned off by you, so what good are your looks doing you? LMAO | |

I am a little overweight and uncomfortable with myself. My ex recently broke up with me cuz he thought I didn't look good. And reading your story gave me some hope that men don't mind a few extra pounds - 15 to be exact.
