| WHO DO YOU IDOLIZE AND WHY?
Posted: 12/5/2004 11:22:40 AM | When i was 18 i worked for a program called best buddies, which is a program in wich regular high school students pair up with special education students and basically hang out, the group itself had monthly parties and movie outgoings..
I was paired up with a 14 yr old boy with cerebal palsy, his condition was rather critical he had many motor skill problems with his arms and legs, and his tongue was pretty much dead so he had to communicate with sign language through his hands that had very little control.
Well the first week i met him, he started teaching me sign language until i actually became skilled enough to communicate with him without an aid by his side.
I joined this program thinking that i was going to be making a friend for life, but I didnt know that i was going to meet my inspiration, he taught me to be thankfull, he taught me the true definition of compassion.
I dont know I think you all get the point..

my aunt who taught me to always tell the truth, never judge anyone on appearance, and how to manage my money.
frida kahlo because she was so creative and honest in her work and she lived her life despite the fact that her body was all fuc*ed up and she was in constant pain. she was so strong. | |
