If you like to write/edit, you can try that.
Or if you're good at sales, you can have your own sales business. I met a woman last year who was very successful at convincing big retailers (Walmart, etc) to sell new products.
Basically, you have to find something you like to do then figure out how to make money at it.

But find something that you can turn into a product, and start selling. Ebay is always a good place to start selling stuff, and then go from there. If your not good at any hobbies that you can turn into product though, well this comment is pretty much useless.

If you know 3 to 5 people that have hair and skin then Arbonne may be the life changing answer to your dilema. If you would like more information I would love to share with you how I got started.

| Home based business Posted: 5/1/2007 7:24:34 PM | | If you enjoy working with children or adults with varying needs (disabilities that are physical, cognitive or developmental) , you can work (self employed) as a one to one worker doing programming provided by their therapists or you can provide a few hours of respite care for their families to have a break. All it takes is a genuine care for people, the rest will come with the time spent with the individual. If you can flex your schedule so that you visit with several different individuals over the course of the week (the average session is an hour or 2), you can stay very busy. | |

| Home based business Posted: 5/2/2007 2:12:02 AM | I've heard people make decent money as phone sex actresses. Less money as phone psychics. You have to dedicate a lot of time to it though. | |

| Home based business Posted: 5/2/2007 11:35:16 AM | Probably the best thing, is to think up a good idea for a web site. There's a ton of money to be made in it if you do it right. Just do a little research into PlentyofFish if you doubt me. There's also a lot of money to be made in E-Bay sales, if you can invest the time and gain the experience. One woman I know of makes about $200,000 per year doing it but she spent a while learning how and it can be a lot of work. | |

Then there's Jordan Essentials: ( jordanessentials dot com (useRep #9115 for referral)) selling toiletries, body and bath stuff.
Easiest way for advertising these sort of things is in the sig line of any emails or group messages you send out. Low key, and not spamming is the trick to getting folks to look at these.

| Home based business Posted: 6/7/2007 12:04:04 PM | I am doing such a search for myself as well. Go to your local bookstore and buy Entrepreneur magazines. They have a lot of great ideas and websites to go to to do your research. I have already found a website for starting my own online retail business. I am doing my research now. A friend of mine are looking to get into Apartment Managing and living onsite. This will allow the both of us to focus on our own home based business as well as take care of the property as well.
Here are a few ideas:
Home parties, as they are extremely popular right now, according to Entrepreneur's StartUps magazine.
Depending on the company, your initial investment is low. Some of them do not require a large quota each month to stay in business. Some do not even want you to recruit. You will, however, want to see if you need to get a license to sell your products in your area.
When my children were growing up, and when I was pregnant with my son, I did housecleaning. I made very good money and worked my hours and even took my children along. My children knew how to behave in other peoples homes so this was an added bonus for me and my clients loved me and them.
It's just finding your niche ,that is the key. Ask your family and friends what they think your assests are. You don't even have to tell them what you are thinking about doing.
Good luck. I would like to know how you are doing in the future. I am always seeking new ideas and education.
I have done caregiving, babysitting many years ago. I consider myself a jack of all trades, and master at some. LOL

| Home based business Posted: 6/7/2007 12:23:34 PM | You can do customer service work from home. One company I know of is Alpine Access. They are region specific, but there are other companies out there like them. It's acutally working from home, not selling stuff. You take inbound calls for people ordering things. Like those as seen on tv things- stuff like that. Oh, West is another one - workathomeagent.com
You could also do those click and pay sites or the survey sites that pay out.
edit- dammit, I hate it when people drag up posts from years ago.

| Home based business Posted: 6/6/2009 2:39:00 PM | That is a very good topic, also one of the most minds bothering, and I intend to answer it in the balance of this article. After having studied the top income earners for months, I believe that there are a few Fundamental keys to consider when making decisions to join your top online business opportunity to build financial freedom.
First, if you are not much of a risk taker, then DO NOT go with some start-up company, as they have a much higher chance of failure. However, if you are a risk taker and can get in early with a solid company, you can make some serious money. Next, make sure that the company has a product and service that you can get passionate and be confident about, because that will make it much easier to talk to your target audience or next entrepreneur.
Also, you want to find a company that offers great training and support through web sites, web conferences, teleconferences, live meetings, and that offers live chat. Although it is fun to be sponsored by a top income earner, often they do not have time to work with you personally, so some times it is better to find a big hitter just getting started with a company or a big hitter in the making to work with.
The investment for a lot of beginners is a big factor, remember if you were to buy a franchise, it could be a Starbucks, a McDonald as those are the most popular franchises; you would end up spending a lot of money, time and energy, the profit would probably start kicking in 3-4 years or more. But the point is you have spent millions of dollars. Unfortunately, you will only invest a few hundred dollars to start a network marketing business, and still enjoy the profits and incentives of your free enterprise by treating your business like a business.
Finally, make sure that the compensation plan is going to suit you. If you find sponsoring easy and can enroll hundreds of people then you can do well in just about any compensation plan. However, if you are like me and most others, you will probably want to look at the binary and one level plans. They are typically the best for those who are only going to sponsor a hand full of people.
Remember that your mindset is the main key to your success here in network marketing and life in general. Start your business with the mindset of a leader, with your head on straight you can do or be anything you want. Follow and trust your instinct here and take action; focus your time and energy on developing yourself into a leader, and the same will follow you.
