Why was a picture I posted in my profile removed? It was a cartoon I drew myself, so there is no copyright issue, and it was a simple cartoon charicature of a bird, so there is certainly no issue with inappropriate material. For that matter, why was a thread I posted deleted too?

From the FAQ: What are the guidelines for a profile picture? Images must be in JPG, BMP, or GIF format. Images must NOT contain any nudity or offensive material. >>>Images must NOT contain cartoons or celebrities. You can upload a maximum of 8 images. As far as the copyright issue goes, the site has to err on the side of caution. There is no way to confirm that someone has created their own original cartoon, or ripped one off of a billion possible sources. Yes, there are others who still have cartoons on their profiles. They'll be attended to in due course.

I would add that moderators do NOT have the capability to remove or change ANYTHING in user profiles. We are FORUM moderators. When it comes to profiles, we have to refer deletion of pictures/profiles to administration just like everyone else.

Fair enough. I didn't realize you had a stringent no cartoon policy. So, I can't post anything but a picture of myself? I post in the forums, and I just got tired of looking at my own face everytime I posted, which is why I wanted to post something else as my primary picture.

I didn't realize you had a stringent no cartoon policy. So, I can't post anything but a picture of myself? No copyrighted Images, or Images that may approximate them. Nothing to do with Cartoons exclusively.
