Gemini here, last relationship was with a Capricorn, and it didn't work out.

Posted: 10/20/2005 3:12:41 PM | I am a cancer with my rising sign in Leo. I am a typical cancer in many ways...and while I seem to attract alot of Aires, Geminis and Aquarius I seem to be attracted to Taurus and Capricorn! Another Cancer would be tooooo much!

Posted: 10/20/2005 3:46:16 PM | I'm kinda 50-50 on this one, I'm attracted to Gemini's. But the relationships are always a disaster as a Taurus, kind of hard to handle the dual personality and they do have a dual personality.
And when I read descriptions of the zodiac signs, I do come closest to Taurus. The Pisces description seems to fit Pisces, my son is a Libra, he does fit that description.
Yet I really do not believe in the daily forecast, they are just too generalized.

Posted: 10/21/2005 6:50:27 AM | | I've had a number of ladies address compatibility through horoscopes, I personally don't believe that it is a good measuring stick but if you go and read what they (horoscopes) say about a person born under that sign (over all personallity) it is usually a good starting point to understand how they think and act...not all run true but it's a beginning. Looking and waiting for your compatible sign is not a good idea...I believe that you can make any sign work for you if you just take your time to get to know that person. Relationships are built on trust and understanding...not what the stars say. | |

it's funny how we seem to fall for the wrong signs, huh? I guess opposites attract? I do know of two Gemini' getting together, they have a "colorful" relationship, but are still together like going on 10 years. | |

Its central claim - that our human characteristics are moulded by the influence of the Sun, Moon and planets at the time of our birth - appears to have been debunked once and for all and beyond doubt by the most thorough scientific study ever made into it.
For several decades, researchers tracked more than 2,000 people - most of them born within minutes of each other. According to astrology, the subject should have had very similar traits.
The babies were originally recruited as part of a medical study begun in London in 1958 into how the circumstances of birth can affect future health. More than 2,000 babies born in early March that year were registered and their development monitored at regular intervals.
Researchers looked at more than 100 different characteristics, including occupation, anxiety levels, marital status, aggressiveness, sociability, IQ levels and ability in art, sport, mathematics and reading - all of which astrologers claim can be gauged from birth charts.
The scientists failed to find any evidence of similarities between the "time twins", however. They reported in the current issue of the Journal of Consciousness Studies: "The test conditions could hardly have been more conducive to success . . . but the results are uniformly negative."
Dr Dean said the results undermined the claims of astrologers, who typically work with birth data far less precise than that used in the study. "They sometimes argue that times of birth just a minute apart can make all the difference by altering what they call the 'house cusps'," he said. "But in their work, they are happy to take whatever time they can get from a client." | |

Posted: 10/21/2005 7:06:42 PM | Ya know I never really payed too much attention to horoscopes until I started noticing patterns....I am pretty much the firm definition of an irish leo...LOL But some things maybe don't apply.. or maybe not yet... I noticed I attracted a lot of Libra's and Aries.... that was kinda weird.... But I have dated "all kinds" .... Not sure how well I get a long with fellow Leo's .. kinda touch and go.... It takes a special soul to attract me and I don't think it is about the sign... more the fates... There have been a few in the spectrum I had never dated... Like Cancer... that one always freaked me out.... cuz ya know.. cancer... but now I'm thinking hmmm maybe not so bad... | |

I married a Pisces which is an astrological disaster given that I am a Gemini. And the funny thing is....his ex is a Gemini!!
But he is SO lovely. Do you think that maybe he is meant to be my corrective Pisces experience? Maybe I should write back once he and I have met.

Of course those relationships didn't work out for the same reason. Gemini's are smart(asses), live on the edge (sometimes you want to push them right over), double minded (worse than a woman when it comes to any kind of decision making), and flighty (they literally need a ball and chain). Capricorns are stubborn, loyal, and goal oriented. Do you see where the problem is? These signs are WAY too different to come to a common ground. | |

In the past I was attracted to Aries and Gemini's, that didn't work out either. Well my only hope is to look for another Taurus ( they should be passionate as I am) . Posted: 10/25/2005 10:58:44 AM | I think Horoscopes take transferable traits from each person and focuses on specific ones for each sign so then what happens is that when we know that we are to look out for specific traits we shape and mold our consececuences around that. In other words we self fulfill our own fate around what we focus on.
I think it's nonsense...I've met my "compatible star signs" that were worse than my ultimate least compatible...people are people, conditioned by their own lives, not by the day in which they were born. | |

Astrology can explain and match alot of people together for mates. But thats mainly based on possibility. Just like the matches this site sends you. You may get along with those matches but its not always gauranteed.
Sometimes those signs can descirbe a person to a tee.........then u have to add the enviromental influences and how they were raised.
Also, for example, an Aries can all be a little different, just depending on what phase of aries they are (I, II, III, IIII, or even cusps...Aries/taurus). Cusps are tricky!
So my conclusion is Jus4fun, using astro signs for matching is quite a bit of help, but DON'T FULLY RELY ON IT.Unless, you want to do a full astrological report on that single person. which will tell your more in depth details and common factors of that individual. That is if your are even into astrology at all, heh. Yeah, just put signs in consideration.
