its ouja you numbskull...JKING!!!........maybe you will OB....ppl die...but the memories ppl hold of them live on......me....when it happens it happens.....its one of the reasons i'm still alive today....many years ago i was in a canoeing accident where a friend of mine did die....the water was so cold....couldnt feel my body....(this was like a week after ice had come off the lakes in the area)....all i remember is seeing my friends heading towards shore and thing that i hope they make it....i'm probably done for though...but isnt gonna hurt to keep trying.....so i didnt panic....and slowly made my way and dragged myself up on the shore....dont remember alot for the next few hours cause i ended up in shock of course and had hypothermia....but ya...only reason i feel i made it is cause i didnt panic...i figured if it was my time...it was my time

I'm not afraid of death.

I just don't want to die. I like it here, and I know what happens here. And I must say I've very content with my daily life.

I don't know what happens after death, so I don't -want- it, but I'm not really afraid of it happening. Because then I'll know, I guess.

I used to fear my own death, but then I remember, all good things....

Some might see deathas an end, some as a transition, I don't claim to know what death is apart from the literal definition. I will approach it with an open mind when my time comes, hopefully not for a long while though, I kinda like it here.

I'm not afraid to die. It's the part in between birth and death that's a pain in the a$$! Death is the last great adventure, the BIG unknown. I think I'm afraid to die painfully. I'd much rather die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather. Not like the screaming passengers in his car. In all seriousness I've flatlined, been clinically dead twice. The second time ...it was nice... I know that sounds mental but it's true. I can't explain it. No there was no tunnel, no big light or anything. I just felt peacefull...shrugs. But I'm intrigued by what comes after...inquiring minds wanna know. So when I go I'll try to come back and let y'all know what it's like.

lol, well....it's actually supposed to be ouija, isn't it? We had a cheap board. :P

I've had a near death too. Was a couple min away from bleeding to death. Not fun. But, nothing to freak out about. Felt sleepy.

Peace

I've been flatlined twice myself. really bad car crash. Wasn't an accident it was my fault. Anyways all I remember confuses the hell out of me. I'm not too keen on trying that again anytime soon. Like maybe another 100 years, OK?

I flatlined in an ambulance, after a car accident. I'm not afraid at all. The next place is alot better than this one. Just think of the best time of your life when you were happy and felt no pressure.... that's what it's like. Wonderful!!!

I'm really afraid of death. And I find that the older I get, my anxieties have gotten alot worse as well, and have spread to more and more points in my life.
I'm not really sure what to make of it all, except that I know my fear comes from not believing in any kind of afterlife, so when you're done, that's it. No memory, no thought. You're just done. And that gives me high anxiety.

I have no fear of dying..my only fear is for those I leave behind who are dependent on me.
So..every day...I work towards giving my sons the independence they need from 'mom'..so they will only grieve for a moment when I am no longer around..to do their laundry, fix their meals, taxi them all over God's half acre's...and generally fix all their 'breaks and leaks'!

I'm not afraid of death, as I do believe in some sort of afterlife, possibly reincarnation.

What I do find funny is. Why do all the "Ultra Religious" fear death and are willing to do anything to prolong life, no matter what the quality is (referring to the woman in Florida that was brain dead and the religious right in America did everything to keep her alive) If they really believed in God and Heaven, you would think they would want to get there ASAP as it is supposedly so much better than here.

^^Im American and I have a strong belief in God . Im not afraid of death.(I know you arent referring to poeple like me Im just throwing in my two cents )I think the incident in Florida was about a myriad of other things and I dont nessacarily believe that it had anything to do with being afraid to let her die in peace. in MHO that wouldve been the right thing to do as well .I however am not ultra religious or a bible thumper.I just think its cool when people believe in something greater than themselves....for me thats God:)I do think believeing in some sort of afterlife makes the transition a bit easier as does living life to the fullest:)Oh and Ali kat...I have to disagree that death is the last big adventure...To me its the gateway to the biggest adventure well ever go on...But I respect your opinion of course(((hugs))

I never really feared death until my brother was very sick and almost died. From that moment on, it has terrified me. Sometimes I lay in bed at nights being very afraid of it.. especially the idea of dying in your sleep. I think I would rather face it head on and be awake.

I don't think we can justify any fears we have. It's human nature to fear the unknown.
