| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/10/2004 7:12:29 PM | connectingsingles.com and jumpdates.com Those are like this site TOTALLY free with no hitches. Personally Im tired of filling out profiles and never getting responces. What is needed is a site where ya dont have to waste time like that, for nothing. | |

Those sites are small, more members sign up here per month then they have users. Jumpdates and datingstage share the same database and datingstage is pay per use. Ie they are just using jumpdates to collect profiles to make the site look bigger.

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/10/2004 9:18:45 PM | | Plenty Of Fish Rocks :) and the rest dont, I have had more fun here than anywhere including a couple of the member only sites. Here everybody seems to be a lot friendlier and honest, but you can find BS anywhere. Webdates sucked, really poorly done. And any of the other so called free sites just try to lure you in and then hit you with a surprise fee. So THANKS to this site and the great folks using it!! | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/11/2004 3:44:21 PM | | Try www.okcupid.com -- it's totally free, and the tests are fun. It doesn't have a huge membership yet, but I'm sure it will grow. | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/12/2004 12:36:36 PM | www.bookofmatches.com is a totally free site. I have had more response there than any other site. Plenty of fish has been disappointing so far | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/13/2004 3:13:22 AM | Most of the free sites aren't as popular as the paid ones. Not that many people are aware of PLENTYOFFISH and other sites like it. It sucks! I wish PLENTYOFFISH did more ads. Maybe more people would come by.
Have a great day!

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/14/2004 4:58:19 PM | | I know what you mean Sami. I just found this site. I have been members, although not paying members, of several of the larger sites the past few months. I really like this site. | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/14/2004 5:16:00 PM | | Sami, the suggestion has been made to get more exposure for POF. All we have to do is each and every one of us spend a few bucks and put an ad in our local papers. No one is out more than a few dollars and we get more members from our area as well as a lot more members period.. What do you think? | |

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/14/2004 10:56:02 PM | I think it would be wise to spend the few dollars to get more people online here. I think that is a great idea. I'm trying of getting "interested" messages and not being able to reply to them. The one site I did pay for a month I didn't get anywhere. The day after my month was up I got two "interested" messages. lol
Have a great day to you ALL.

| What are the truly free sites? Posted: 12/16/2004 12:48:33 AM | This site POF is by far the best I've been to. I love it. On lavalife I got a nibble but most are a waste of time and money. I found this site on the seventh page of a search for free personals. | |

That's the best idea I've heard... I'll place an ad in Worcester Ma this week.
This being a free site, non of use should be expecting them to pay alot of money for wide spread ads... It's up to us to spread the word if we want this site to still be free.
