I used to watch Howard's show and I guess it was the "shock value"... But, I can't believe he gets the ratings needed to stay on the air.. He's not the least bit funny or clever... Just sits around talking nasty to naked women~~ YAWN ~~ Never anything different or new.... I find him disgusting these days... I used to think he was a bit "cute" in the beginning.... Eeeewww~~~

I couldnt agree with you more...this guy is such a waste of sperm. Didnt they already pull it off tv? I saw an article that they were pulling it off tv and moving the show over to satellite radio. I just cant believe there are people that actually like to listen/watch that crap show of his. It makes them equally as sick and twisted as him.

I guess then I am a sick and twisted person too because I really enjoy him and his show. So many people complain about him having mainly naked women on there and his comments, but what everyone tends to overlook is the fact that these women come on there WILLINGLY, nobody is putting guns to their heads and forcing them on there. And he has hosted many of high profile respectable guests, no guns to heads there either. Granted, he certainly isn't for everyone, but neither is Oprah, Dr. Phil, Rush L. but to each their own I say. And I can't wait till he goes to satellite then he can be true to himself and put on a great show. And he didn't get pulled from tv, E decidied to stop airing new shows because of him leaving soon and didn't see the need to commit to spending $$ producing a show that was leaving soon.

If you were able to listen to Stern as opposed to watching the old E Channel program, then you would see a different Stern. I enjoy listening to him for the short drive I have to work.

To expand on the comments by mcbobly, E was stopped due to the fact that Stern is not going to be on the radio in about a month. He will have two sattelite channels to program. I am looking forward to that.

mcbobly~ Im not overlooking the fact that the women go on his show willingly. In general, the show is just tasteless as is Howard Stern. And I dont consider the celebs that go on that show respectable..his guests are all D list celebrities-no respectable person would show their face on that show.

I love Howard Stern. He's dared to go where no dj has gone before. And trust me if you think he can get bad you should here some of the dj's where I live. Some of the things they talk about would make Howard blush! I have to get satellite radio so I can listen to him all the time.

klo, I can most certainly respect your opinion and that is cool. But you say that all his guests are D list people. I don't consider people like, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder or Donald Trump D list guests. He's also had his share of famous and respectable female guests as well that might not be considered D list, but again, he's not for everyone and @tat^^, yes, he has spawned some really raunchy wanna be's out there.

I just think it's gotten really boring.... It's still on a cable channel at night, can't remember which one. I've tried watching it a couple of times, and have found myself yawning, I'm that bored....

I don't get his show and don't have cable, I've only seen clips. His show seems rather uninteresting to me.

I actually used to listen to Howard because he pioneered "adult" radio. But this was back in the days when his shows actually had substance and at least SOME comedic value. Nowadays I would just as soon listen to music or turn the radio off instead of tuning in to Stern. The guy's making money and knows who to go for.. the target demographic for almost any advertiser is men 25-50, and what he does appeals to most of them. Unfortunately for him, it gets old VERY fast, at least for me.

I think people liked the fact in the beganing about someone talking open, but I think it went to his head just a lot to much. Its a over kill deal. When I am in the car with the kids, it comes on, and I have to change the station. Because I live in the country. I can't get another station, so I have to turn it off. Drive with no music. That sucks. Then my work out where I lission to the t.v. country music, he has invaded that to. He is becoming a over kill. Use to there was a place and a time, but no he is every where, and he is over killing the fun of being open. I have to drive with kids with no music. So I don't like him no more.

He's definitely getting paid for doing nothing but being his old raunchy self. Im young, so I cant recall his earlier days on the radio, from what you all are saying, it's different from his crap show today, but I just think his material today is disgusting and I dont see how anyone could find it the least bit entertaining.

i never watch Howard Stern anymore. I got sick of the same old humor if you want to call women who are willing to do anything to win a free set of implants funny or watching women bend over backwards in a thong while men slap mayonnaise and bologna on their ass just to see if it sticks...wtf? lol

Initially, on the radio I thought he was kind of funny from time to time. On tv... he's just a pig. Obviously there's a market for it or he wouldn't be on. Apparently there's no shortage of "women" (and I use the term loosely) willing to go on national television and make fools of themselves. I guess that's why there's chocolate and vanilla.

as someone previously said, stern was a 'pioneer' of adult radio and rauchy comedy...he took things to extremes while never falling off the edge, and he has to be given credit 4 that....additionally, Stern was at his best when he was NOT considered "mainstream"...in that he wasn't (yet) accepted by the "jet-set/high rollers" as being 'cool' to be with or seen with...when stern moved "up' into the hollywood echelon, then his program changed in character.....so instead of innovative humor and skits, he entertained the kind of guests that he would make fun of years previous......he'd always fall back on 'sex' oriented skits because that was tried and true, however, to this day, he hasn't come up with anything innovative...he does get ratings because he is replenshing his ranks of listeners and he is considered a legend...so in that sense i don't see him disappearing, but there is little else that he is motivated in doing given all the money he has....he is like an overpaid athlete!

Not sure where you get your list of celebrity status from but last I knew Julia Roberts wasn't a D list actress.....

If you really haven't listened to him or the groupl then you wouldn't get a real good feel for the show. He doesn't have to have naked women on there to make the show funny. They just did 2 live rehersals without any guest and hardly used any cuss words and it was just nothing but LOL funny...

And here is another thing, a lot of people dislike him, but you can't fault the man, he is a genius and that is why he has the title "King Of All Media".

I miss the E show. I like being able to watch the looks on people's faces. Remember the porn or politics game? You should have seen the look on that guy's face. And remember when that guy came on and ate the light bulb? Robin was HORRIFIED. And Howard was BEGGING the guy to stop! But the guy was in his glory, getting his 15 minutes of fame and he chomped down the whole thing. Howard asked him if he would bleed from it and the guy said "Yeah, sure" like it was no big deal.
