Is God cursing the US? Considering the three massive weather disasters that smashed the U.S. in the past two months, this often-asked question demands an answer. It is amazing how little religious people know about the Bible. And the Bible is supposed to be the source of Christianity. The Bible is Jesus Christ in print. People are called Christians because they supposedly follow Christ. Christ said that we are to live by every word of God (Matthew 4:4). That includes the Old Testament and New Testament. The problem is, most Christians today talk a lot about Christ, but they reject His message. The Bible is also a book about Israel. We often talk about the lost tribes of Israel. Why were they lost? Because God punished them for their evil ways. Not only were they conquered, but they were removed from their own land! Then they lost their own identity and thought of themselves as Gentiles. Today Israel is comprised of several nations. Bible prophecy tells us that the most powerful nations of Israel will be in captivity when Christ returns—again, because of their sins. And again, they will be removed from their own nations. Jesus Christ will destroy the remaining world powers when He returns! The truth is, most people are biblical illiterates—that includes Christians. God’s Word contains over 100 prophecies warning us about Israel being destroyed in this end time. Let me give you one from an end-time book (Daniel 12:4, 9). “As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice” (Daniel 9:13-14). These verses clearly tell us that God is bringing disasters upon us—like the hurricanes—to get us to change our evil ways. The Bible is filled with such prophecies. The Bible says we are more evil than the nations around us. God is not about to remain silent! [u]Study the Bible and learn about your Creator.[/u] God also tells us in these two verses that the law of Moses (the first five books of the Bible) also prophesy about these curses coming upon us in the end time. In those prophecies, God sets before us a choice: good or evil—blessings or curses. Then He tells us to choose life and blessings. God even lists the blessings and the curses that will come upon us—depending on our choice. Those people who say God wouldn’t send those hurricanes to punish us need to be asked a question. Since God obviously has the power to stop the hurricanes, why didn’t He do so? If we are a righteous people, God promises to protect us. He isn’t doing that. Why? Because we lead the world in evil—in every major pathology! I see God’s mercy in hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. The heart of America’s oil production was only slightly damaged in these hurricanes. What if the oil rigs and many refineries had been virtually destroyed as some authorities expected to happen? Then America’s economy would have been seriously crippled and might never have recovered! It would have caused a serious oil crisis in the U.S., and we all know how bad the oil crunch is even now. America (and the world) is only one deadly hurricane away (not to mention a terrorist attack or a war in the Middle East) from an energy crisis. In these hurricanes, God extended mercy, giving us a chance to change our evil ways. When will hurricane-type suffering stop? When we heed God’s warning. If we don’t heed, Bible prophecy clearly outlines what our end will be. But even if we don’t repent, a new and wonderful world is about to be ushered in. Just another thought for all of you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... if God is going to Punish the United States (or anywhere in the world for that matter) and is suppose to be a "loving" God.... than he certainly isn't a God I'd want to follow. I'm not sure how an "all loving God" would want to be vengeful and punish people in such a harsh manner. To assume God is punishing the world for their ways just reminds me of dipshit Fallwell who said Katrina was Gods way of punishing the US for their leniancy on homosexuality ...its total bs. Dammit I feel like Wonkas gotten to me when I say this LMAO BUT...there are logical and scientific explanation for things such as hurricanes, earthquakes, Tsumanis, erosion, etc. So... please don't give God TOO much credit here.

Some how I feel you did not actually read all of the above, God bring this because we are not following his will and because we do not believe he even exists then He shows Himself in the power he has. Can we change the weather? You bet! but you need to desire to do God's will and obey him. And then the weather will change. God could have easily wiped out everything standing and living down there! There was an anticipated 110,000 ppl coming to celebrate exactly what God does not like. With Labor Day weekend approaching, the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, was preparing for one of its biggest annual and infamous occasions. No fewer than 100,000 homosexuals and lesbians, latter day sodomites, were beginning to descend on the ill-fated city for the celebration called Southern Decadence. This was a celebration that the massive numbers of sodomites were looking forward to, because it included wild dancing in the streets, complete with open sex acts and unspeakable perversion in full public view. Many entertainers were arriving for the event, such as Shirley Q. Liquor, and the “diva of decadence”, Miss Chi Chi LaRue. The theme was to be “Jazz and Jezebels”. Dei, It is apparent that you got your information from somewhere. Where are your sources? What about the Earthquake that hit recently? That wasn't in the US? How about the Tsuami >spelling, that again wasn't the US. How about the Ethiopian draught that took place several years ago? Where are your number anologys for those things. Now Dei, I notice you are not giving up all the comforts and living a life devoted strictly to God. You're still here on the evil internet with the rest of us heathens. For your information I have read the Bible...SEVERAL times. I use to be note the word use a born again christian, I followed the faith religiously for 10 or more years and that's EXACTLY why I left it. I refuse to beleive in a God that is basically saying "I am giving you the free will to beleive in me, love me and worship me.....but if you don't.... I will cast my vengence upon you". And the theory that God will take innocent lives around the world and cause distruction of man, of life, etc all because we ARE partaking of the free will that HE gave us...but are not "following him"....is a sick, twisted, over zealous religious way of thinking. It's sad how the American school systems have failed their students. People want to learn secondary languages without even a clue of their primary one. Yes, Christian literally means one of Christ. New Orleans, Louisiana, was a city of extreme evil any time of the year. It was not only during the evil Mardi Gras seaon when people acted like demons, but on every weekend, streets in the French Quarter had to be hosed down in the mornings to wash down all the vomit and filth. The city of New Orleans also had the highest murder rate per capita of any city in the United States, and that murder rate was ten times higher than any other city. The population of the city consisted of 60 percent family households, but only one-half of the parents were married. The Bible calls that arrangement fornication, and it is a serious sin! The damage that Hurricane Katrina did would stagger the imagination. Many businesses such as the Voodoo Mart liquor store tried to board up windows and doors, but it proved to be an exercise in futility. In a matter of hours, devastation was everywhere, and even brick buildings were reduced to piles of debris. Looting was everywhere, and the first stores that were looted were drug stores and liquor stores as large gangs of lawless marauders began to pillage everything and rape women. Mrtial law was declared, and within days the troops began to arrive. Newspapers such as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer featured bold headlines saying “Ungodly, 80% of New Orleans is Flooded!” The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel featured a one-word headline: “Anarchy.” The New Orleans police issued a formal statement on September 5th, 2005 as follows: “New Orleans completely destroyed.” On September 2nd, 2005, United States Senator David Vitter estimated 10,000 deaths from the hurricane in Louisiana alone. Casinos were crushed like eggshells, and mangled slot machines and other gambling devices were strewn everywhere. There was also a major oil spill on the Mississippi River. Eleven delta villages were completely gone and nowhere to be found. U.S. troops now have the task that is being called the harvest of the dead. This is terminology directly out of the world of the occult. The situation is grim and macabre, and there is a spiritual stress that has caused some New Orleans police officers to commit suicide. Another 200 officers quit and walked away from it all. Here let it be noted that during the many interviews done by the news media with survivors of Katrina, there were only a few who said, “It happened because there is too much sin; we all need to repent.” The microphones were quickly pulled away from those people. One of the biggest controversies about Hurricane Katrina is the great delay of response to the catastrophe. Meteorologists warned the government well in advance that devastation was imminent but to no avail. When the storm hit, Canada immediately offered to send in Hercules aircraft under their D.A.R.T. emergency response program to bring in massive amounts of food, water, medical supplies and other essentials, which they said would be in the hands of the victims within twenty-four hours. But President Bush, who was vacationing in Texas, turned the Canadians down flat. Other nations offered help, and all were turned away as the days went by. Our own government did basically nothing for four days, while people died continually for lack of essentials. Even Cuba offered to send 1,500 medical doctors, but this was also rejected. Here let it be noted that I personally heard Michael Chertoff, the head of the American Gestapo known as Homeland Security, say, “When other disasters come, remember that you are on your own for the first four days.” This seems to be their plan, which will cause many of the injured and elderly to die. Since you mentioned all the "bad" stuff that happens there... completely ignoring the large community of Christians who lived there... 2) There is no abominable filth that landed there... a funnel of water just made New Orleans a bit scattered around & flooded. It is all completely reversible. Whether or not they choose to rebuild New Orleans will be the call of the government... & probably only due to the risks involved of something like this happening again since it was built in a very bad location. “It happened because there is too much sin; we all need to repent.” The microphones were quickly pulled away from those people. Did I not speak clearly? 1) If the filth was already there, God wouldn't cast more down.... or are you implying that this filth, that is what you call all the misdoings in New Orleans, was put there by God? So, are you then saying God is responsible for New Orleans being the city it was? 2) Of course Christians escaped. Their escape was because they actually listening to the warnings in the news/radio casts. And, to say that Christians weren't taken down by the hurricane is ludicrous. 3) Why would Bush procrastinate?... Why would Bush spend a quarter of his term on "vacation"? Because he's a puppet... nothing to do with any religion but the religion of self... that would be against God's teachings too, correct? How come God let him be re-elected then?

Kings have you read it? God snds his angels to warn those of His flock, also those are to warn the ppl. The warnings were there not really loud and clear for some but they were there. Everyone who obeys the Lord would have done as He wished. Your two does not make sense. God has a purpose to everything, not even the prophets knew what they were saying.
