remember way back when???? well what would you say you were back then? what click did you fit into? WHO WERE YOU BACK THEN? Define who you were and why????

As for me i started out my high school life as a prep, totally 80's leggins, legg warmers, big shirts, and big hair....
My senior year i did a complete change over, i became a rocker chick....short tight skirts, high heels, the whole nine yards...even ratted out my hair and used more hair spray [auqa net] than any person should ever have... Heavy Metal Love...

Jersey shore style musician.
Excelled in art,english and history.
Not that I wanted to but more because it was just a natural for me.
Lived for music 24/7 in those days.

I did not fit in a catagorized crowd at all.
Still don't as far as I can tell.

I remember going from junior high to high school, and the profound transition I made from " the long haired surfer dude, who smoked a lot of pot, had all the girls, all the friends" to "who's the new guy, ( parents made alot of money and moved us to the rich world), why is his hair so long, he'd be cute if he new how to dress. In fact there was this girl, who said " he'd be cut, if he knew how to dress"..so I got a job at the local mall, bought clothes, got a hair cut, became a preppy, izod wearing, members only dude ( my only friend in school was a the guy who everyone knew was the biggest queen). I went from mid late 70's surfer/stoner ) ala Leif Garrett, to Breakfeast club yuppie, to full on punker, to New romantic punker. However, there was one difference that really made a difference in my life in high school, and that was for the first time, people really cared about education, and the peer pressure to get the highest g.p.a really drove the school, at least those in my circle. The other thing I remember about high school, was that my high school sweetheart, with whom I was with from 14 to 19, lived in a different part of town, and my best friend was the afore mentioned gay guy. I was labled queer, cause no one ever saw me with a girl. That molded a big part of me into who I am now. Cheers to you Brett..where ever you are.

I was an extreme Dork. You could say I was the UBER DORK.

I was in the computer club, the Key club, the chess club and the photo club. I EVEN wore a pocket protector and had a slide rule. Yes. A slide rule. And my clique was the Dorks. I hung around with dorks. We were a bunch of dorks. The foot ball team use to chase us around the school at lunch time (but we made sure to scream in small words). They used to drag us into the park by our school and throw us into the fountain just for fun.

Gawd....thank Goddess that is FAR in the past.....

High School student council president three years in a row!!!! ( promised them Pepsi in the water fountain), only kid in school who could legally fly a plane, but was not allowed to have a car. Ran away in grade ten with my High School sweetheart for about a month till her mother and my father came and dragged us back (Lived in a hotel about a thousand miles away)!!!!! See Stephanie I have not forgotten. School threatened to stripe my student council rank, till I got the students to stage a sit in. Hung out with the Smokers in the woods. Quarter back for the football team. And I swear that the High School teachers threw the biggest party when I graduated. They told my sister who is four years younger than me, that she could not have come from the same family. HEY I WAS JUST A BRAT. Now I am just a brat with his “Rock”, in the POF High School of Love, anyone want to stage a sit in?????

My M.O. was brainiac for the most part, good grades, honor roll, blah blah and the typical social life that goes with being an egghead nerdboy (i.e., no social life)...by the time I was a senior I had a killer set of wheels (muscle car/drag racer), got into the gearhead set and seemed to find a quasi-bad boy niche.

Racing, drinking, recreational pharmaceuticals, metal rocker, attention from women...it was all good.

Can't say that I've kept up with even a single person from HS, tho...

Boy, that sounds a lot like ME. I was listening to Peter Paul and Mary, Deep Purple, etc. in the mid 80's. I didn't fit in any clique -- not smart enough to really fit in with the geeky brainiacs, hated cheerleaders, dressed kinda hippy a lot of the time, read books constantly... I read all through Physics, as I recall, but somehow passed anyhow.

My last year of high school was also my first year of college which was, in retrospect, a huge mistake, but there I was, 16 amongst all those twenty something college students. If I could do all that over again I either wouldn't have gone to college yet (my mom pushed me into it) or I would have had a heck of a lot more fun than I did...

Man, Im still trying to graduate!!! J/K. I was an idiot jock. I still love sports, but in H.S. thats all I really wanted anything to do with. I rarely dated, but could constantly be found in the gym playing ball or on the field. I had it in my head that I could actually take it on as a career. I think every part of me (except my left knee) felt that I didnt have time for anything else but sports.

I was a Prep. Was on the Pom-Pon Squad from Sophmore year - Senior year. I was actually kind-of stuck up. I am glad I grew out of that.

Black clothes head to toe, black leather jacket, Ronnie Dio T-shirt. Hair to my knees.

I was one of the half dozen that were led from the auditorium in the middle of every assembly. I was the guy getting patted down by police at the entrance to the football field. I was the guy who was kicked out of all future school dances but still hung out in the parking lot.

Good lord, I'm glad I grew up. You couldn't pay me to be 18 again.

In high school I was a total blue jean girl. Tight Levi's and rock concert T-shirts with a bandana as my belt. Layered hair, very similar to how it is now actually. Wow.. I've come full circle on the hair thing I s'pose since I layered my hair last year and it was normally all one length before last year. LOL

Anyhow, I have a lot of diverse friends in high school. The only cliques I didn't hang with were the preppies. Knew too many of them from jr. high and their attitudes had gotten entirely too snotty for me by the time we were all in high school. eeewwww....

Oh, one more thing. It was noted in the very last year book that I'd worn a dress only twice the whole time I was there. LOL!

Best 10 years of my life. What do I wish someone had explained?
1. Girls don't need to be tricked.
2. Girls don't want to be tricked.
3. Sometimes girls are tricky.
4. Tricky girls are fun.
5. That smart girl who was so straight, just needed to find someone she could trust.
6. Smart girls think way better thoughts about sex.
7. Smart girls don't mind if you use the term GIRLS.
8. Smart girls pinch MY nipples during sex.
9. Girls who ride horses will look out for you.
10. Holding hands can be SO hot.
