Drinking and handing out Halloween candy do not mix!

Anyone have any interesting/funny Halloween experiences last night? Here's mine...

Boyfriend and I dressed as a priest and a naughty Catholic schoolgirl. As if that wouldn't already secure out places in hell, he found my devil horns and wore them as well. We had TONS of candy - I was prepared because I think they bus kids into the neighborhood...can't even sit down for more than 2 minutes.

We had many drinks and took turns answering the door. Somehow I got it into my head that teenagers who weren't dressed up enough didn't deserve candy, so I began dropping garlic into their bags.

I also managed to knock down a 2-year-old with the storm door. I didn't see him! He was with a bunch of kids. I felt so bad, I gave him five times the amount of candy he could ever eat.

Then, a young handicapped boy appeared (with his mom pushing the wheelchair). He was totally decked out as Spiderman. He didn't say "trick or treat", so I said...."what do you say???" He tried to say it, but I immediately realized he was speach impaired....needless to say, I dumped the whole bowl into his bag and ran back to the living room practically in tears.

Boyfriend decided to take over after that one. "Hey what's with the garlic??"

Let's hear yours now! Anyone have any fun?

Wow now see it can be fun for us candy givers too .

Well ok I am a graphix artist and I also have a huge amount of art supplies here . My brother and I are both single right now and hanging out more . We use to be realy close but life put distance between us . So we welcomed the chance to get together more as we do and get crazy at times.

So we dressed up . Me in my vampire attire and him in his demon. I did the make up for both of us and we looked pretty convincing. Our hopes of scarrin the hair off some teens were inspired by the scotch we were drinking. Seems when we drink we go into charactor lol .. And my new nieghborhood has no teens. All we got to see was a lot of screaming back sides of costumes. And we have a ton of candy left.

"Hmmmm" I'm thinkin maybe next year we do the Marx brothers,

garlic?

I'm not drunk and I think thats funny !

Too bad about the rest. They don't trick or treat in my neighborhood, they go to the
mall, which I think is a much better idea.
When I was a kid.... some people put razor blades and stuff into candy.....
so all candy had to be xrayed, which is not going to detect posion and other gross things.
I'm happy the kids go to the mall.
Its a safer way to do the halloween thing for them.

Hey in FL, or generally in the south, it makes perfect sense to drink and hand out candy. lol, or that seems to be what everyone does anyways.

Apparently a lot of people drink while handing out candy. After noticing this, I started trick or treating for beer...scored six of my own and my friends got three apiece. Most fun I've had schlepping the kids around town in a long time.

Nothing so exciting happened to me. But, for the second year in a row, I ran out of candy. I had about 40 kids in 45 minutes, and I was too generous with the candy at first. Next year, I'm going to buy in bulk--like a whole pallet, or something.
