I know I have been to see one who was so incredibly accurate, she even predicted the exact circumstances of a job offer.....where I am now employed..... it blew me away! | |

Posted: 11/1/2005 6:10:41 PM | On Topic here.......How common is the belief in psychics.....very common. People do believe. One that I do enjoy myself is the Incredible Kreskin. That guy is freaky. Also Uri Geller. Sylvia Browne as well. I've read some of her books and it is very interesting. Deepak Shopra is another very mystical man. The Dali Llamma also.
Then there is the PSI Empath. A Psychic with added Empath abilities. There are sensitives, and light workers, medicine women and medicine men, great Kahunas. There are in all cultures with various names. I'm sure every-one here has their own stories they could expound on the subject. What about the ones who claim to see Angels? That's a whole other subject in itself. Time once did a cover piece on 'Angles in America'. Seems they are popping up everywhere. Then of course if we discuss such things, we also have to discuss the shielding and protection such people must learn as they strive to achieve maturity with their own abilities.
Is this topic too deep or too weird for others to dare to voice an opinion on? Most likely.
I personally believe we all have inate abilities residing within. Whether we choose to use them or not is entirely our own decision. | |

Posted: 11/1/2005 6:22:52 PM | I believe in some psychic's.I believed I had a psychic link with my mother I always knew when she was ill.I also knew the last time she went into the hospital we would be saying good bye.As she laid in bed the others in my family stood and watched her pass while my brother and I went to a waiting room.From that room I felt her grow weaher and weaker until I felt an overwelming releive,I knew she was gone.
I have also had moments when I knew someone was having problems and would contact them so they had someone to talk to.
Maybe I sound wierd but that's just me.

Like ruby said its a matter of if we choose to learn and harness that ability.. some naturally have stronger abilities than others.
For me i knwo that i am been able to use my abilities for a long time.. not always accurate but always see things in dreams or have things pop in my head then get that incredible sense of deja vu when it actually happens. | |

Hoss excellent analogy you gve there. I've been able to call my daughter at will for years now. Funny thing......she can't call me. I'm well aquainted with the knowing feelings you spoke of though Hoss. They are very real. Sometimes we just have the connection to that special person. Or maybe many others. depending how well honed our abilities are.
Here's a question for you all? What is this thing? An ability, a gift, a curse, what do you name it?? Empaths exist, yet the word is not even in the dictionary yet.
For me it's abilities. That is my name for it. Now give yours.  | |

and hoss i am right there iwth ya on the connections. i can tell when a family member passed away before the phone call comes doens't matter where they are. I always know who is on the phone before i answer and no id n't have call display.
and i can always feel the spirits of my family members around me in time of need. | |
