seems like if you take it slow ,some girls don;t like it and if you try to be a little quicker others don't like it.
what is a guy to do????
I am a little shy and now have no idea what to do,usually take it slow is this good?? | |

and you've gotta kiss a girl by the end of your 3rd date, otherwise you're a big weenie haha | |

I am naturally a nice guy,girls ask me out,we have good converstion get along great,alot in common,we dance,go for dinner have fun but seems,my feeling anyway they would rather have or date a not so nice guy.
after a few dates they loose interest and not because of rudeness or anything like that.

If I think or sense that he's a little shy and I want more, then I go for it ... if he's coming on too strong, I find a graceful way of letting him know.
Dating at our age (I'm a "young" 56) can be quite awkward especially if we are just coming out of a marriage that went on for several years ... I had been out of the dating scene for about 25 years. The rules have changed and we have to adapt.
Anicegirl had some good advice ... when in doubt, ask ... that way you won't be doing anything she doesn't want you to do. If you can get up the nerve to ask a lady out, then you should be able to ask if you can give her a kiss godnight or at least have a hug.
Often the answer to those questions will also indicate whether or not you want to ask her for another date. | |

Ladies give off subtle clues when they are in need of a kiss...
If they directly face you, giving you their full attention... is a good sign.... hand holding too... laughing at your lame jokes is also a good sign.... but I believe you have to have an emotional bond, before you can ever attempt a kiss.... | |

Well, as I said ... if a person is "just getting out of a long relationship" and perhaps isn't up on all the "new attitudes" of dating OR perhaps he does lack a little self confidence ... it never hurts to be polite.
I would enjoy a gentleman who is "polite" enough to ask first. And one other point I'd like to make here ....
Guys .... if you get the okay for a "first" kiss, do us all a big favor and try to contain yourselves ... try not to go straight for the esophagus on that first kiss ... Okay?  | |

just lean in and go for it if the moment is right for you. worst that could happen is she turns her cheek, but i doubt she'd go out with you again if she didn't like you.

first of all, i have a name, and its not "it"- talk about polite???
second, i think its a matter of preference, not age. Thats totally different than being "polite" and for me its a major turn off but I have friends who think its cute. | |
