I think The Wild Fork in Tulsa is great for breakfast or lunch dates. It has the right atmosphere for that kind of stuff, with local artists showing their portfolios and the decor is a converstaion starter too. The food is out of this world, with a little carrot next to a selection on the menu for those who want a vegetarian meal. So there is something for everybody on the menu, ya know?

Lets try to be a little more original then a dinner date! go out for some drinks at smittys on brookside, or maybe the little bar between 21st and 31st and riverside, or on the riverwalk on the west side of the arkansas river on 94th, and since those are such great locations a walk might be a good idea, it gives you a chance to talk. don't like walking? when's the last time you went ice skating? Ladies love ice skating!!!

Sure, those are great for a dinner date-- but a nice artsy restraunt like Wild Fork really is great for breakfast or lunch! :-) I also like Smitty's on Brookside, Metro Diner or... for a fun mid-day date on a nice day, Crow's in West Tulsa.

In my opinion the best place for a first date is the bar at bahama breeze for drinks and conversation. It is enclosed and has a gazebo where you can talk and watch the sunset while having a drink and seeing if there is a connection.

I think that the Bourban Street Vafe on the bricktown Canal is great, very-very romantic, and the music isn't up so loud that you can't hear the other person talking!!!

Does anyone know any place that serves a good Monte cristo. {state wide) ?
I know of Bennigan's in Tulsa and the cafe in Sallisaw. yes I would travel to try it out. I really hated that the Metro diner in Tulsa closed down. For 15 years i only ate their Monte Cristo. I always wanted to try their other food as well but always went with my default on that one.

I consider myself something of an epicure, and hands-down, Cheever's Cafe has the best food in the city. If you're a steak lover, their Sirloin is amazing, and the Kobe Beef is even better.

The cafe by the police department in Harrah. Lol, sorry, that's all I remember, but it's a small town, so it would be easy to find. The name may have been the Long Branch.

Daniel I thought you were more of a fan of the Humus at Galileos in the Paseo??? Just wondering you seemed to like it so much. When are we going again?

Okay.. I had an awesome experience on a first date back in Oct. We started out meeting for breakfast just to see if we even wanted to go any further than that.. After the awkwardness of the first meeting was out of the way. We headed to bricktown. We walked around, went on the river taxi.. which I might add was a blast.. Talked a lot and had a good time.. Grabbed a movie at Harkins and then finished up the day by having dinner at Chellino's .. That was a date to remember.. All out in public and it started at 9am and ended around 7pm. It was probably the best date I have ever been on..
