Posted: 11/5/2005 9:15:47 AM | Over 20 years ago, as a young attorney, I had just recently (some 3 or 4 months earlier) handled the divorce of a senior partner at the firm where I work. Having done a very good job, one day he called me into his office to thank me again, and shared with me the following:
"Single women over the age of 40 are easy, and I'm having the time of my life."
Now, when you are in your mid-20's, this was not a factoid that really interested me at the time, but it was so curious a statement that I certainly never forgot it.
Having reached that age myself now, and finding myself divorced, I am right in the thick of it. I have found it is indeed true for many women (not to stereotype, there are always exceptions).
In my opinion, women this age are not just at their "peak" as lisa states, but they are more sexually liberated because they are typically done with children, and often more self-satisfied with who they are and where they are in life. In many ways, the pressure is off, so the game is on.
From my standpoint, while many more women are now statistically sexually available, I find it harder to find the "one" for me; not all of us men have the desire to take advantage. In an age of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and considering the many other factors of my life (such as the needs of my children, etc.), it's actually gotten quite difficult to find a woman of real class and distinction. For some, anything to easily attained is not worth having.

I'd like to add another factor.
Our experience as sexual beings has grown to the point that we know what we like and are not afraid to ask for it. We are more willing to explore and have fun in different ways. I would hope as well, that a mature woman would not be using sex to manipulate, but rather to expand and share her universe and her enjoyment of it.

The older woman seems to be so into taking care of the man's needs and boy does that make me totally take care of her needs then also!!! I think all women are totally horny, i just think the older women are way more comfortable showing that they want you and are not afraid to just put that right out there as their bait.. Posted: 11/11/2005 6:44:55 AM | I had a similar thread going in the Ontario Forums. Women in their 40's, are they more sexually inclined.
For me it was like someone turned a switch on and my sexual life, outlook, and desires changed. Over night I became this person I did not know, but wanted to learn about. I have so much more energy now that I do not have to chase children, clean house, cook meals, run here and run there....all the things that a mother and wife tend to have to do without complaint or exception. Unfortunately, at the same time, my marriage was breaking down. I was officially single at 42 and no partner to share this time of my life with.
One thing I find so difficult about this time of my life is the men I do meet do not consider me relationship material. In that regards, I am invisable. Most men who approach me are a lot younger and they 'hear' that women in my age group are supposedly better for sex and they want that experience. But Ultimately they are looking for a partner who will still breed for them. A lot of us are treated like the fvck and chucks!
If I meet a man around my age, he either still has young children so he is not willing or able to commit to someone and put them first, or he wants a woman younger then him. The few men I have met that are a few years older then me are done with the child rearing, but they are (don't shoot me but this is what I have found personally) not as sexual anymore. Yes there is the little blue pill that they can take if they need it.
I have been alone for 4 years officially, and 6 years physically and it is not fun. I do have some morals and values, so I am not going to go out and find someone to take care of those needs. Someday I will meet a man who will recognize all I have to offer him....emotionally, physically, spiritually, and yes SEXUALLY. I just hope it is not too late for me! | |

I think after the age of thirty you dont give a crap what anyone thinks about your sex life anymore. Thats what happened to me. | |
