| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/8/2005 10:36:33 AM | most people have thousands and thousands ideas and thoughts everyday.
come to think of it.., wouldn't it be kind of pointless if among all those thoughts that cross our mind, there weren't one or even two so brilliant that they could change the world? Ofcourse not, that would be pointless.
The thing about brilliant ideas that can change the world is; that we need to share them with that same world in order to change something.
So let us vent all our ideas about ending world hunger, global warming and the best ways to get chewing gum out of our hair without having to cut it, and make the world a better place...--together--
----------------------------------------------------------
thought: I should start a thread about brilliant thoughts, cuz i don't have any at the moment. Then again.., that's pretty brilliant....,

perhaps the solution to the world's "problems" exists in our point of view. if the world's "challenges" were marketed as interactive games....
just a wild hair of a thought | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/8/2005 1:38:35 PM | NO !! Not interactive games. Have you seen the movie war games ? My what a more tangled web we would weave.
Also, the challenges of the world are more often than not self-inflicted, if not on our own then inherited from the generations preceding us.
Ambition and hard work each for his own and helping his immediate neighbor, that would be a good start. Pay it forward is always a good philosophy.
Before global transit and communications, everyone basically had to fend for themselves and their bordering countries. Things appear to have been simpler then. Yes, very hard work but a simpler life style. Poor enough to appreciate that you have life's necessities and rich enough to still appreciate that you have life's necessities. | |

You might even meet a "historical celebrity" over there. ..hint hint. | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/8/2005 6:55:24 PM | | My brilliant idea is to give poor people land in remotish places where they can live like pioneers, eventually build their own houses, etc. I realize not everyone would be interested in owning land and living like a pioneer but some might. Just thought it might be kind of a cool thing to try. Give people something of their own and see what if anything they make of it. | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/8/2005 6:56:39 PM | | I do have a solution to the gum in the hair thing, I used to do nails, and saw a stylist use "super skinny serum" from Paul Mitchell. I own some and it's also great for use after showers to smooth and detangle hair. Or in the middle of the day when Florida's humidity causes frizzies. And also good for use with a straight iron. I do have lots of thoughts, some of which get invented. One I thought up the other day was a massaging seat in your car, ahhhhhhhhh. | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/8/2005 7:00:50 PM | | Hmmm. Most of the world's problems are due to pollution and overpopulation. Put birth control chemicals in the world's water supply 9 out of every 10 years. | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/18/2005 9:35:18 AM | Aaablekitty, I have a much more effective technique for removing gum from hair. Check out my profile and see what you think of my solution.
Solving the worlds problems. You can't do this. Stupid people have too much political power. The most talented power brokers honestly don't have any idea what the consequences of their actions are nor do they care as long as they don't effect the world during their lifetime.
That is how he got in the Whitehouse. | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/18/2005 10:12:51 AM | | The games idea would work. Do that one! | |

| brilliant ideas Posted: 11/18/2005 10:17:47 AM | Zentral gets my vote - I've been saying for years that we need to at least follow China's lead on birth control. And it's fine that we travel to other countries to teach them to build irrigation ditches, but can't we also while there, teach them birth control methods?
I also wish to become the first Miss America to actually achieve a solution to world peace.
