| Younger men have spoiled me!!!
Posted: 11/9/2005 6:28:22 AM | In the past three years I have dated mostly younger men. Younger men are so respectful of what I like and really are out to make me laugh and enjoy myself. I enjoy everything they have to offer but Im not to serious about them, I mean how can I be, I will get older beofre they will LOL. After all I am 44 and am not looking to start a family etcetc. Problem is now I am so spoiled by their energy and the way they take care of themselves......I have become to picky with men around my age.
Men around my age usually think they are either to good for me and go for the younger woman or are looking for someone to take care of them YUK!!!!
The dilema is I have been so spoiled and I do realise Im not getting younger, its just men my age TURN ME OFF, I cant help but compare them. | |

I seen the movie "Being Julia" and I dont want to end up being so spoiled that when the time comes IM STUCK lol.
I have always been told that I look way younger then my age, but in all reality how long will that last.

From what you wrote it doesn’t sound like you have a thing for younger guys, you just like guys that are young at heart. I am sure if someone around your age was full of energy, took care of his appearance, you would fall for him. Look at it this way, some people prefer different body types, hair colour, you it seems are attracted to a certain personality type, you said what you like is “energy and the way they take care of themselves......” so go with that. Don’t compromise or settle for something less than you want, age is just a number and if you’re not a bean counter don’t worry about numbers. | |

Based on what you write here, my best guess is that you use younger guys as your personal entertainment center and as a source for (expected) compliments.
Men around my age usually think they are either to good for me and go for the younger woman or are looking for someone to take care of them YUK!!!! That’s a telling statement. Perhaps you might wish to reevaluate your choice in men. That’s easily done, too. Join a couple groups populated by folks your age, where men have something in common with you. That’ll usually change your mind in a hurry.
Meanwhile, have your middle aged fling if you wish. But, in fairness, be honest enough to be sure these younger guys understand there is no real future for them with you. Then, consider how you would feel if someone treated you like that: how would the title of the thread you started then read?
Sorry to be inconvenient, but this is a truth of life that should not be overlooked.

You said you are not looking to start a family, so why not just enjoy you're younger men. It sounds like you feel guilty for not dating men your own age, but I don't see it as being that big of a deal if you're happier this way. Just as long as you make it clear to the younger guys that you're not looking to start a family.
Personally, I like older men, but I've never dated a younger guy.....hmmm.......but I like being spoiled.........hmmm..........LOL | |

I'll admit.. I've gone out with guys from 30-46 and I've had more fun with guys in their 30's..... maybe out of 5 guys in their 40's I really enjoyed 1..... but hey.. who's counting!!!!
If I like the persons profile... and there personality.. then hey.. why not meet... (whelp... unless ur diggen someone... ATM)
some of the books I've read have said to open yourself upt to 10 years younger and 10 years older... I have to admit.. that I don't go the full 10 years older!!!! OUCH | |

I find that on these sites guys my age wont even look at women thier age, they seem to think that they can get anything on here. I find more younger men hit my profile and I rahter like it. If I hit on a mans profile that is my age they tend to think they are to good for me cause Im 44 (thats there lose). The younger guys like to chat on the phone and want to meet up, they have so much energy and are not and I repeat are not always looking just for sex. I love the way they make me laugh and I really enjoy when we meet for coffee.
I wont go higher then 46 cause I found it just isnt a good fit for me.
and I agree not all men my age are like that but I have been spoiled by younger guys and its hard to be patient with them.
I have met more younger men on these date sites then men my age......wonder why? lol

The call me to ask me how my day went. They ask about ME!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so refreshing. They will talk NHL hockey with me until 1am and never bring up the words "what are you wearing'? I know that there would probably never be a real seriousness with these guys cause sooner or later they will want to develop something and probably will want a family etc.

Comparing shouldn't even come into the equation...just relax and give the time to talk to anyone who's interested...you can always politely decline if it's not for you. | |

My last bf was 33 and I kept telling him that at 33 he really wasnt ready to make a choice on what he wanted in life. He kept saying he didnt want children etc etc, cause I told him I have already gone the marriage route and have children I adore. This is when it gets complicated with younger men, other then that, they are refreshing.
Last night I talked on the phone with a guy I met on Lava who was 32. He actually wouldnt leave me alone until I finally said yes that we could chat. I had a great conversation with him. I find younger guys way more easier to talk to and they are usually not into head games, you would think guys my age wouldnt be, but I have met so many that are.
I love how guys in their 30s dress and look great, the bald hair look is so sexy and they dont try to hang on to thier hair if they lost it. I also love the body art which has been done so tastefully.
I am going to continue to date them until I am just way old, but what is really obvious is the older I get the older they will be too!
I really enjoyed reading what lots had to say with this subject...the intelligent people, the ones who didnt judge or assume.

Posted: 11/9/2005 3:54:14 PM | My mum left us when she was 36... she left for a younger man... 8years younger... she had had her kids didnt want anymore as she had her tubes tied after i was like 4years old... anyways.. he wanted kids.. when she was 40 she went in to get them untied... she didnt fall pregnant... in the end and 10years later... he came home one night and said im leaving i have got someone pregnant... you didnt do your job... after a messy divorce he was wanting more then of then his share of what they got together... turned to my mother and said.. you dont know how hard it is and how expensive it is to raise a kid... mum just laughed and said you had your choice...
now she is with a man 5years younger then her... he has had his kids.. had the snip before she met him... doesnt want more...and it is working for them.. they have been together for 7years...
so i guess it is who you want to be with...age really isnt a problem... as long as you are with someone that has the same outlook on life as you....
maybe you should find someone that has had his kids and doesnt want anymore.. if he is younger then ... so be it....
oh yeah.. my dad.. has always been with women older then him since mum has left.. at least 10years older... he says they know where they are in life they dont want what i dont want .... when they want something he doesnt want inwhich he has made clear from the start.... he lets them go... | |

I too find it much more fulfilling and get spoiled and enjoy their company more too. I seem to get more hits from younger guys also. The only thing that worries me is that the guy I'm dating has never been married has no children. I discussed this with him as I had to let him know that marriage and having more kids are not in my future plans. I already have one 19 year old. He's assured me several times that "It's not a problem for him". Oh well...my mama didn't raise no fool! I'm just enjoying our time together and whatever happens...happens. But so far, so good. No complaints from this ol' gal.

I am very new on this site and after I talked last night with yet again another younger guy, I thought of it this morning. I wanted this to be about me, I wanted to hear what other advice I COULD GET.
I think this was all about you wanting me to see YOU..........
There are men your age that I think are wonderful and sexy and cool, just not many that I HAVE MET.....
I have been really SPOILED and I do want to find guys my age interesting again, but it is a hard thing when there are guys like you out there.
