Crazy in love. Love em or leave em. Love em and chuck em. Love you truly madly deeply. Love me, love my cat. Love.
There is no set pattern. What it means to me it may not mean to you or anyone else.
I tend to express love in physical form. Hugs, kisses, looks. I might be quiet with the words, but when I do say them...they float in the air the same way bricks don't. It's a heavy thing, but it makes the heart light. | |

Posted: 11/9/2005 10:57:14 AM | Love is: highly subjective but to me it is the feeling that no matter what this person/s will stand by you through all the crap. That they won't walk away (or run) when things get tough and that they will believe in you and support you. All of this in a warm fuzzy feeling inside :P
Do I believe: um hello - fairy tale knight wanted :P
What does it Mean: ^^see above^^ its tough to define since it is different for each of us.
How do I embrace it: I am a big "lover" I have many friends and a huge family all of whom I love. I tend to love easily (this goes along with trust I do that easily too) I have been hurt - who hasn't but I am a huge believer in live love laugh - so I keep on doing just that!!
How I show Love: I tell the people I love that I love them, I am a great "s'mother" without kids so look out for little notes in coat pockets etc. (all the little things), I make quilts for the people I love so they can curl up under something that I have designed and hand sewed just for them :P (old fashioned I know - but i love it)
How I know I'm Loved: I know I am loved when I am understood, when I can see it in their eyes, when I can feel it in the embrace, when I am forgiven for mistakes....not in any particular order.

Love to me is knowing and feeling that when you are with the one you love that there is no-one else in the world that matters, nothing else matters. There is an invisible bond that combines your souls. You feel their pain when they are hurt and you feel immense joy when they are happy. True love is a dangerous drug, once you have had it you become an instant addict and would sell your soul for it. You would give anything to have it and once it is gone the hurt you go through is un-comparable to the worst recovery addicts of actual addicts of substances. The difference is you can never buy love so once it is gone you are left very empty without hope for a while. Believing in love tho means knowing it can happen again once you heal and learn from your past.
I do believe in love and I have been there. I truly understood being in love when my first child was born and I looked into his mothers eyes as the baby made his first sound, she had a silent soft look in her eyes that looked right into my soul and for that moment I didn't hear or see anything else and it felt like forever.
Love means the combining of two spirits and souls far beyond physical attraction and actions that one does to show affection. It is a state of being , a state of emotion and a state of mind. You mind body and soul are one with someone else. You do still have individual thoughts and ideas yes but you are in tune with the one you love to know things that are unspoken.
The best way I found to show love was to be myself and be there for them emotionally, work thru the hard times and enjoy together the good times. Sex is different with the one you love, it becomes very passionate and involved, every move you make and touch you feel is more than just a caress or position , it is a connection. Most importantly is the kiss tells all. When you are in love , the kiss from the one you love has passion and you feel it , when you see their eyes and or are holding them you feel it. This is the hardest part to describe because simply put .....you just know. | |

meh. i don't know...it's far too complex an emotion for anyone to ever truly understand. poets have written about it for centuries, philosophers have tried to understand it, neurosurgeons have tried to map the areas of the brain that deal with love, and psychiatrists have tried to figure out what the deal was with Freud and his mom...
all told...it's greater than all of us, and i don't think we'll ever really understand the true nature of it. | |
