| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 11/17/2005 1:06:32 PM | | I guess you mean a romantic type date? I like to take my dates on hikes for various reasons; it actually works really well for me. I was on a first date with this beautiful man; he was in good shape and wanted to go a bit farther, so we kept going on a less traveled portion of the trail. All this time we had some pretty animated conversation, and I was not paying enough attention to my surroundings (I was paying attention to him mind you). We heard some noisy rumbles in the brush; lifted our eyes, and OMG!!!! There was a BEAR a few feet away from us, climbing straight up on the side of the mountain. He was a medium brown color (California Black bear as far as the species) It looked to be about 150 lb, a teenager, we figured better not risk it, the mom might be nearby, so we rapidly turned around and went back. Definitely my most memorable date ever….I doubt I will ever top that…. | |

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 11/17/2005 1:42:03 PM | Actually it was a first date with a very special guy. We have chatted online for a few weeks and the conversations were getting flirty so we finally decided to meet and see what happens. Plan was that I would cook him dinner and we would watch a movie or something. He kind of got cold feet (worried about the ’something’ happening) and called to cancel but it didn’t take much to convince him to come and we go out instead. When he arrived I had already started cooking and he liked the smell of it so we decided to say in and listen to music and talk. It was a wonderful evening. Most of the other guys I had dated only wanted one thing – it was refreshingly different. We ended the evening with a good long hug and a quick gentle kiss on the lips. It was enough to realize we wanted to see each other again because he offered to lend me the CD’s he had brought - and I accepted. | |

| what was your most memorable date? ill never forget it''lol Posted: 11/17/2005 2:23:48 PM | | i think the best one and most memorable was when i met someone that was probably the opposite of me and i di not expect it to turn out as fun. i loved harley davidson motorcycles.i went riding for the day and out to lunch.as the motto went ride to live'' live to ride.the wind in your hair and the great outdoors,.i love the bikes and always will.the relationship lasted for some time but ended later..but will always recall the day i first rode .also the fact that sometimes we dont think we would have fun with someone that is abit different or laid back.its great to meet new people and learn that you never know what will happen. | |

| what was your most memorable date? ill never forget it''lol Posted: 3/9/2008 10:59:20 AM | The two most memorable dates weren't POF dates. Most of my POF dates have been the boring standard dinner and a movie or meeting for coffee. Not too creative but I am hopeful.
So the most memorable good date was when I went out last spring with a talented fellow who picked me up and took me to a park in which he had a vegetarian picnic lunch set up for us and that was very thoughtful. He wasn't a veggie but I am. He pushed me on the swings, we played frisbee and he brought along some good music and bubbles and it was a lovely time.
Afterwards we went to feed the some ducks at a local pond and then took a long walk and got to know each other. On the way home we stopped at Border's so we could check out some new music together and he was kind enough to buy me a CD because he said he just wanted to see me smile. So it was a very enjoyable date and we still hang out on occasion because we are good friends.
The most memorable WORST date was this dude who picked me up in his pick up truck to take me to see fireworks. Creative date idea but worst date EVER! He didn't open the door for me and that is something a gentleman should do on a first date, even the 101st date. He was shorter than me which sometimes you can overlook but when he smiled it looked as if he had been chewing tobacco since he came out of the womb. SCARY! However I looked all past that because he was nice to talk to and interesting.....until he started to tell me that the folllowing weekend he and his buddies were going camping and would be playing a live action role playing game in which they believe they are werewolves. He even told me his werewolf name and it was at that moment that I stated looking around for Aston Kusher to pop out and tell me that I was being Punk'd. It got even scarier after that has he stated telling more personal stories that you should never share on a first date. Bad date but hey, it is all part of the dating merry go round and it is a funny story.

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 3/9/2008 11:22:23 AM | Mine just was about two nights ago. Someone on POF put that he liked old ladies. Being old, we e-mailed, and he sent me his picture via yahoo. I met him at a local hotel lobby, since there are a few to pick from here, and he turned out to be a lot better looking than his photo that he sent.
I brought him home, and he played my keyboard--I have NEVER heard someone better on the keyboard than he was. He got his degree in Psychology, and is waiting to be accepted into Law School. Then for the final turn-on, he could type faster just using his two index fingers than I could, using all 10 of mine. God only knows what happened after that--and then he said good-bye, that we would "definitely" get together again. Once he used the word "definitely," I knew that it was a one-time only thing.

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 3/9/2008 2:16:02 PM | Mine was about 5 years ago. I was housesitting for a friend and had spoke to this one woman on Instant Messaging before I had left. The following Saturday I got another IM from her. I liked everything that I had heard that I instinctively asked her if she wanted to talk on the phone. Now on the phone I loved her voice and what she had to say, so I asked if she wanted to meet in person, even mentioning that it was sudden, but she accepted!
We met downtown Pittsburgh a few hours later and she looked better than what I expected. She let met hold her hands during a drink at a table (I was commenting how pretty and petite they were), then we went up to a higher elevation on a famous incline where we could see more of the city from a better distance. Around the area and along the main path are stops to sightsee, and at these stops are benches that circle around. With her small height she stood up on one of them, turned around, started to fall so that I would catch her, then fell on me with her arms around me, plating a good one on my lips! I couldn't believe it because I was glad that I didn't have to make the first move, plus it not only broke the ice, it demolished it!
Later we headed back down and sat in her car, and talked about anything and everything. We both discovered that we liked Weird Al Yankovic, although she had been to more of his concerts where I liked more of his older tunes. It just seemed to work out so well, the connection, the communication, the jokes and laughing. It was the best first date I ever had, as I drove home faster in the cold with the windows rolled down from being on such a mental high. For years that date has been the date by which all others are judged, but I know better now not to compare it to any future dates.

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 3/9/2008 2:21:04 PM | | Most memorable was a 10 beach jeep tour. We started at 7 am on a Saturday morning, had breakfast, got in the jeep and just drove! We hit 10 beaches, didn't stay long..but it was nothing but fun. Stopped when we felt like it. We're not dating anymore, but we're still friends, and whenever we talk, we both laugh. Amazing date. | |

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 3/9/2008 3:29:49 PM | | I've never been on one that was anything more than mundane. It does not mean that I did not enjoy myself, it's just that no man I've ever met has ever made any attempt to do anything really interesting. Dinner, movie, dinner, movie that's about as exciting as it ever gets. I must be either the unluckiest gal on earth or these experiences people are relating are highly unusual. | |

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 3/9/2008 3:47:58 PM | Most memorable date? My first.
Well...back in high school, my dad was getting a little concerned, if ya know what I mean...I'd never been on a date. Then the annual Christmas Party at work was coming up, and me being a bit of a shut-in socially, he did what any well-meaning parent did, and told me I'd be going, like it or not! Basically, I'd be going alone, or with a date...so I had better find someone. Asked one girl I liked...she already had plans. Then I had a bit of a dilemma...I was friends with another guy that was always spending time with someone I'd been attracted to. But we were all friends anyhow, so I asked her, knowing it would be as friends.
So that day (Friday the 13th!) I came home from school, excited. I had recently gotten a car, and had finally learned to drive a stick, after my dad practically dragged me out to make me learn to drive. A few hours later, just before the sun went down...to my horror, I looked outside and saw I had TWO flat tires. Even with a full-size spare (in the engine compartment...what a novel place!) I wasn't going to be driving my car! So I drove the family van to pick her up, met her parents. Drove home, my parents took some pictures, and off we went.
First we drove to an area known for their Christmas light displays, several streets in a row, they go all-out with lights, criss-crossing the street with lights...pretty impressive stuff. Then we drove to the airport hotel where the party was. It was a little wierd walking through parts of the airport at night all dressed up...but once we got there, it was very nice. We walked and talked, met my coworkers, and ate. Then came the dancing...I had only danced with one person before- my stepmother the night before, to make sure I had some basics down. Well...this girl was certainly special in my eyes. She realized I wasn't a dancer, took my hand, and I was much more comfortable with that. After a bit, we went for a walk around the lobby/halls of the place. There was a piano in the hall, and she sat down and started playing a song she was writing. On the way back, I put my jacket on her in the car, and she fell asleep on the ride back to her parents' house. Walked her to the door, and said our goodbyes.
Now, I'm sure this might not fly for some people anymore, but just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.

| what was your most memorable date? Posted: 3/9/2008 3:48:21 PM | We made dinner for each other - I made the main course - he made the salad and provided some wine. We watched a funny movie and laughed together! Then we made love for a few hours and fell asleep in each others arms. Then in the morning we woke - more sex and then we went out for breakfast. I went home for a couple of hours and then went back in the evening for great conversation and more great sex!!! Hum that was a great date!!! | |
