If you were approached by your ex to rekindle your relationship, do you think you could or would???? I know I sure as hell would not be doing it! lol | |

Posted: 11/19/2005 5:33:32 AM | | well now..been there and done that...lol....mine left for 1 year...and one Sat...he came to the house...and just sat in a chair..and asked me to go out to a function with him that night...it was a traditional gathering ..that we had gone to for a number of years...I was very hesitant..and asked him why he wasn't taking his girlfriend...lol...he said he didn't have a girlfriend...that he was going to break up with her...he had made a mistake...blah..blah...blah...he then proceded to tell me how disappointed he was ..and that he didn't know what he ever saw in the other woman..because she was lazy, did not work, lost her drivers license for drunk driving.....he must have said something right..because I went with him and we tried to put the marriage back together..but ...he just couldn't stay away from the other ladies...and my trust was already shattered...even though I had forgiven him...he is a good man...good father...and we remain the closest of friends...and he tells me..even today...that he would never want me to leave his life...that he will always love me...just not in the way I wanted him to...any one that hooks up with me...will have to accept that I could never turn my back on my ex...we have been through so much together...our lives are intertwined...he never abused me...I believe he has been and is going through his own mid life crisis....trying to find something elusive..that may or may not be out there...just like the rest of us....and I can't fault him for that. | |

Then politely tell him when cows fly (no offence Divine) and show him the door

Long story short... My parents were 13 and 15 when they met. Married when my mom was 18, had me when she was 21 then my two brothers. They divorced when I was 8 or so. Both remarried...mom was widowed, dad divorced...both remarried again...and both divorced.
the summer of 2001 my parents got married in front of all their family and friends. My brothers and I thought it was a joke at first but it wasnt'..it was a real minister, a real wedding certificate...a real wedding.
And they were so very happy. My mom isn't handling losing him very well yet. It's been 9 weeks since he died and she feels like part of herself is missing...because he is.
They were so much in love...you could see it. Sometimes...getting back with an ex is the right thing...for both people. | |

Posted: 11/19/2005 7:24:35 AM | Geez KK ..you ask the deepest questions...In my case there has been so much damage done not only to me but to the kids and everything else that putting anything back together would be impossible...I have told my kids and my family that I would not stand by and see her suffer ..she is going through a psychological episode that will most likely last a lifetime...but I just can't go back there...Just would not work.....answer..back together as a couple ..no way...remain friends probably not in the traditional sense but I will try to help her if she ever needs it....
This is whimpey..or at least so I've been told by my kids..lol they just hate her..but despite that they have all done exactly the same thing i've done and given her help when she needed it..and everytime it turned back on them and they ended up falling out with her again.
This is getting much too deep but here is just one example of why this would never happen..she left for another guy who did not want anything to do with her...she ended up in in trouble with the law for stalking him....that was to much....so nope..nil..nada..are you out of your freaking mind...how many different ways can you say no....God I am long winded this morning...lmao | |
