I think Birdman is looking at this comment with an evil grin and a pitchfork in his hand.

Posted: 6/24/2004 11:06:58 AM | When I lived in LA, I got a bunch of street performers and other friends together and we put on shows for terminally ill children at various hospitals in the area. Seems that because corporations are not allowed to bring newcameras into the wards for the terminally ill, and they can't get publicity, they don't get involved. So, I got my crew of stalwart wacko's together and we crafted shows for Christman, Easter, Halloween. After one show that was particularly heart wrenching (you NEVER see the same kids there the next show and its not cause they got well and went home) the parents of a little 8 year old girl came over and told me how much it meant to them, to her and to all the kids there. They said we made her happy for that moment and that she hadn't had many moments like that ever. Still chokes me up and makes me feel almost worthwhile.
