Dude - You date someone because you like the "package", it means everything; the physical part and the personality.

If you find a person atractive, and she/he is overweight, the atractive part will take control. If she/he loose weight that my please you or not, but you meet her in the first place the way she is and you like it; why then care about the rest?

In college one of my friends date a "gorda" (fat in spanish) we use to be amazed because he was nice looking, good job, and clever talker, but nonetheless she was the one and 10 yrs later they are still together.

Also, who said; "If you want a happy marriage, marry the ugliest woman you can find"?
I don't know if is true, but it have been aroud for a while.

I have been that person...........Married at a weight (Not skinny but ok with my height) gained 75 to 80 pounds and lost it again.

the Ex didn't care about the weight either fat or slim what he cared about was chasing other women hence a well deserved divorce for me.

Ps he is no longer with her but alone LOL

gotta go with the guy above me. i am overweight and its funny how many people judge you just on that alone. you are right most of the time it isnt healthy that is why i am trying to lose the weight. but it isnt for anyone else to like me, its for me to be healthier and for me to like myself. i just find it funny that no one ever asks the question, would you date a super skinny person. then again maybe i am just bitter ;-) lol

as long as they want to help themselves (if its a health issue) then theres no problem, whats that silly saying...beauty is only skin deep---i tend to find beauty under the skin anyway,

why do people honestly care about the weight of their partner? Redeeming qualities matter so much more than any weight ratio.

White rain

one of my friends used to not eat and she would have sezers (sp?) from it.

1) seizures
2) probably had them due to low blood sugar like (some) diabetics have
3) just an FYI not picking on you in case it sounds mean

Me, I wouldn't mind dating an overweight person, being that some people call me an overweight person. Though in highschool i was clearly bigger than I am now and most of the girls who went to school with me see me now tell me how good I look. And there has been several of them which I liked and tried to hook up with them, but you can guess they turned me down for being big.

Now I go to the gym any chance i get even though I can't go as much as I want to since I'm in school, but if the person I'm with is trying then I'll stay with her. But if she werent then I'd probably still stay with her if I loved her. So many people claim looks don't matter and it doesn't matter what they look like if there's no connection mentally or whatnot...well i say it's BS! It does matter, if it didn't then I wouldn't be trying to lose weight and other people wouldn't be starving themselves to be "perfect".

Love me...love my bodyfat ratio...if you can't, it's your issue, not going to make it mine.

Fat or skinny, I still know I'm da bomb, so rubbing it in is spiteful and immature. Besides, I don't look at people in those terms, I would still love and value him if he was 5lbs overweight or 75lbs.

Let's be honest - there is 'fat' and there is 'fat'.

Many gals and guys can be very overweight and you look at them and cannot see it. Some folks just carry it well. Often times it is because they are tell, or know the right clothes to wear.

Then, there are those who can be only 20 pounds overweight and look like a circus freak. You know the gals who still wear belly shirts and their spare tire sticks out 6 inches over their waistband - or guys wearing skin tight t-shirts with their hairy gut hanging out the bottom.

So, I don't think the weight itself is the issue, it is how you wear it.

But yeah, when my ex took off I dropped 35 lbs and got a really awesome girlfriend, and YES she noticed that

I watched this happen to my best friend. She's never been a skinny girl, but she's always had it going on. She's one of the most loving, giving beautiful souls I have been blessed to have in my life. A few years ago, she quit smoking and the pounds just seemed to keep piling on her. She had several men tell her how hot she'd be if she lost weight. WTF!
She decided to make a change for herself, not these men.
Over the last year, my girl has busted her ass. She's been hitting the gym and OMG, the hottie I always have known her to be has surfaced. She's so outgoing and confident! I am loving watching the change in her! She's always been outgoing to those who know her best, but in a crowd, she use to be the quiet one. Not anymore, she rocks! It's great now because the men who told her this now turn their heads and watch her as she walks by!!! It's beautiful because she doesn't give any of them a second look! They could not see past her weight, so it's their loss not hers!!!!!! Peaches, ur looking good baby keep it up! Love ya!

In college I was in love with a very big girl , I helped lose weight , got her in sports then she became hot to many guys then pretended I did not exist , maybe because I was shorter than her and not "hot enough " .

From a size 24 to a 6 or something she was my workout partner for two years ... she said she liked me alot , I guess the guy buffet was better than me the hotdog stanf , hahaha , I hope she ....

^^ I am digging the cap there! : )

OT:I weighed over 200 lbs at one time in my marriage. I started getting depressed and the fact that i was not happy in my relationship was of no help. He was not a very supportive person. I ended up losing 70 lbs in 6 months and he started paying better attention to me. Like i was the trophy wife when i was in a bikini.

I was and still am the same person i use to be, minus the plus sized jeans. I didn't lose the weight to show him what he lost.....i lost the weight to show myself the confidence i could gain
