I went to check out the website where they showed the pics of 14 such men, and I hafta say that I beg to differ on quite a few of their choices -- to wit:
Matthew McConaughey: weasel-boy, tho points for partyin'
Patrick Dempsey -- ok you have me here, but mostly because I remember him as such a sweet romantic young man in those 80s movies (ack old age!), plus he has such lovely eyes and hair (Tho I generally prefer'em bigger)
Terrence Howard: umm NO
Viggo Mortenson: he played Aragorn well enuf for this old Tolkien-head and he has his moments but he's kinda twitchy, too artsy for me
Vince Vaughn: well he IS a big guy, which is a plus with me, and I like his "F-you" attitude but I'd have to pass, too Hollywood
Nick Lachey -- EWWWWW! No no bad dog NO!
Heath Ledger: better in motion, kinda weaselly-faced too, nice accent tho... meh
Daniel Dae Kim: umm, no zzzzz
Keith Urban: possible, but all that country music? *sigh*
Ian McShane: the 2nd coming of Frank Zappa? NO!
Matt Damon: piggy-nosed boy, plus all I can see is the "Team America" marionette: "Matt Daaaay-munnnn!"
Dennis Leary -- again, too weaselly for me, but I'd luv to party with the guy!
Anderson Cooper -- another scrawny guy, but gotta luv that silver hair (tho that kinda reminds me of my gay best buddy...)
Clive Owen: potato-faced, in perpetual need of a shave, bleah
I couldn't even get a rise outta their 1985-2005 comparisons: Okay Benn Affleck is kinda cute but comes across about as bright as a doorstop... They listed a "sexiest entourage" WITHOUT Jeremy "you've got gold" Piven??? His 'Ari Gold' is a frikkin HOOT! and he gets big points for his upcoming docutrip to India... Lost's Naveen Andrews isn't really the sorta looks I generally go for but he's got *charisma*... OMG ROFLMAO re Bono's mega-mullet versus his current crisco-head style!
I think that these guys are the guys that Hollywood/the media thinks are spiffy and they are the ones we are being "sold"... | |

He made all woman sigh with the wants of a man that has that much honor and courage. Plus of course it didnt hurt he was sexy, but again I think his whole character was sexy in that movie.

Posted: 4/5/2006 7:31:13 AM | PS, I am abso-tively ga-ga for actor Ben Browder, when he played John Crichton in "Farscape" (I always loved his comment "My eyes are great! They're better than 20/20 and they're blue!")  I haven't seen him in "Stargate" yet, so I can't say if the "it" factor has followed him or if it was just that one role that worked for me...
The person(actor) being in the perfectly-matched role is a factor too: Kinda like Brendan Fraser: lord-a-mercy he was HOT in "George of the Jungle" (lol, how many moms took their kids to see that like 42 times???), and I have a pic of him done-up as Posiedon (long story) that is uber-hot, both with that long hair and ripped bod, but otherwise, other than his yummy voice, he doesn't make me go "ping!" | |
