| Milkshake Murder Posted: 12/11/2005 10:51:27 PM | "And they're like, it's better than yours My milkshake buries all the boys in the yard..."
Okay, enough jocularity. I heard that the husband realized that he was poisoned and headed out on foot to try to make it to the hospital. Apparently he didn't have enough time though, and subsequently died. Turns out that he couldn't make the Kissel Run in less than twelve parsecs.*
GE&H
*Yes, I know that a parsec is a measurement of distance, not time**. I just wanted to be accurate to Han Solo's quotation. **Another time/distance screwup in entertainment: Chris DeBurgh, "Spaceman Came Travelling", " 'Twas light-years of time..."

| Milkshake Murder Posted: 12/12/2005 7:48:33 AM | just some facts. Michigan-born Kissel was arrested five days after she drugged Robert Kissel, a senior Merrill Lynch banker, with a milkshake and bludgeoned him to death with a heavy lead ornament in their luxurious Parkview flat on November 2, 2003. She arranged for workmen to carry the victim's body, concealed in an old oriental rug, to her storeroom.
Prosecutor Peter Chapman said during the trial that Kissel killed her husband in a "cold-blooded" murder to escape a "messy, lengthy" divorce and be with Michael Del Priore, her TV-repairman lover who lived in a trailer park in Vermont.
the saga countinues as the brother who first got the kids is arrested then goes to rehab etc......

| Milkshake Murder Posted: 12/13/2005 9:04:34 AM | there was a documentary shown on A&E some time ago where they compared the conditions in prisons around the world,....
one man interviewed doing time in a Canadian prison,...was talking to the interviewer in the common kitchen area of the block he lived on,....he was holding and using a big chopping knife at the time,...while cooking,..he was arrested for fraud,...and he was doing ten years,....
He was also an American citizen who was given the option of being extradited to an american jail where he would only need to do 2 years,....he chose to stay where he was,...
Saying he would much rather do 15 years in the Canadian prison than 6 month in the American one,....His words not mine,...and yes he was in a minimum security prison,...
this same prison sported a fence about a foot tall,...when the interviewer asked the warden what exactly prevents any of your inmates from doing this,...(as she steped from one side to the other),....he said because this isn't the only kind of prison we have,...and anyone doing that would quickly find out what those prisons are like,...
I found that rather interesting,....

| Milkshake Murder Posted: 12/13/2005 9:10:50 AM | Both countries have prisons with varying degrees of security. Both countries have prisons with varying degrees of safety. Both countries have prisons where prisoners have access to all kinds of cutlery. If Canada spends more money on their prisons per inmate, good for them! | |

| Milkshake Murder Posted: 12/13/2005 11:19:57 AM | how would it bennefit for theUS to bring her back?
they would be spending hundreds of thousands for her upkeep,... seems like a no brainer to me if I were running things,... they caught her,...they convicted her,...they get to keep her,....sounds fair to me,...
stayed with her dead husband for 2 nights,....now that's cold,....

| Milkshake Murder Posted: 12/13/2005 11:45:56 AM | I do not think the US will bring her anywhere near the children. http://www.newcriminologist.co.uk/news.asp?id=-17442071 the us has no interest at all.the saga countinues as her defense claims he was a drug addict and abuser. it is a crazy storie filled with twist and turns. but i think he lover had something to do with it.he was not touched.the never brang him tho the court. | |
