| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/15/2005 10:53:33 PM | Oh yeah. If a gal can carry on an intelligent conversation, it's easy enough. Heck, I've done that with one gal that I've known for years Seems to be standard with her, actually. | |

Hac3001.... How in blazes did you manage to do the twelve hours. Must be a record!

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 6:45:27 AM | Of course, I love having long converstations with someone you just *click* with. Just have to drink lots of caffine in the morning. | |
|
| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 6:50:33 AM | YES! & aren't they wonderful??? To know that you click with someone so well that a four or five hour conversation runs so smoothly and easily that it seems as though a mere 15 mins has just passed instead?
A connection of this magnitude is truly significant in my books. It means that there is a certain chemistry that you both share - and worth exploring further!

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 8:04:39 AM | Yeeeeeeeeees indeed! Theres a lot to talk about without someone you don't hardly know! I remember talkin to a guy for about 8 hours-great guy-we dated and everything....then he broke my lil heart We still have hilarious conversations though! You find someone you have a lot in common with and I'm sure you'd talk for days--if the phones would hold a charge for that long!
Amen for those kind of conversations!

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 10:58:38 AM | I have had many of those ... there are good sides and bad sides to it in my opinion....
I havent had many long phone conversations with men i talk to online cuz for some reason they would rather be on Messy then talk on the phone ( probably cuz they are chatting to other girls as well lol) But I have been on phone chatlines and I have talked on the phone for a long time.... there have been a few that where over 8 hours.
You get to know alot about the person and can see if conversations flow nicely. see if you have things in common etc. But I also have talked to guys for a long time on the phone for days on end then once i meet up with them there is no attraction there at all and you have waisted many hours getting to know someone you cant see yourself being with and that sucks huge. lol

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 11:10:37 AM | Ugg those calls are SO great! I've had it happen a few times, but most recently with a fun boy in the south. A few nights last week were were able to chat for a few hours. It's such a great feeling when you get butterflies in your tummy when you see they're calling, and try to act all cool when you finally answer. | |

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 11:15:54 AM | Sockmonkey, I know just how you feel. Hoping they will call and then when the phone rings you are so glad it is him.
Just make sure you get some sleep in between the calls, sleep deprived zombies are no fun to talk to.

I hate to take the crown away from my friend, Hac, but I have her beat...by 2 hours.
And, I agree with Carissima...there's something about that chemistry that's worth exploring.

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 12:24:31 PM | | The lady I've talked to is local, so the phone bills aren't going to kill. But the bills for some of you who do the long distance thing must hurt lol. Guess someone has to keep the Telco's in business. | |

It does and has happened to me once before. but the calls were never in the two or three hour range. Maybe an hour at the most. There is always that fear and your point is a good one.
As for waisting time, I cant agree on that. If you meet someone who has so much in common, then as a freind you treasure them.

this one guy i talked to for over a week every night 4 or 5 even 8 hours a time then we finally met and he wasnt really what I expected ... and well I wouldnt have minded being friends with him ... i never heard from him again after he asked if i could see myself with him i had to be honest and tell him no.
Actually I am not friends with any of the guys i have met offline... for some reason they dont want to remain friends with me... no idea why .. i never get the chance to ask them cuz i never hear from them again lol So some of them were a waste of time cuz you get to really like someone and while you wait to meet them your thinking oh god i hope this one was honest or i hope there is something there and when there isnt you get disapointed and think what a waste. At least i do lol

| 2 & 3 hrs phone calls Posted: 12/16/2005 1:42:08 PM | . Yep. But, all I have now is a cell phone, so that limits the talk time somewhat. Nonetheless, I have a good headset for the phone and it has a very good speakerphone. So, for those long conversations with out of town friends, I can keep right on doing whatever it was I was doing and talk with them just as if they were here. Don’t often have such long conversations with local friends, though. I invite local friends over when they want to talk extensively about something. Even then, though, we’ve sometimes been known to talk while commuting.
Most interesting, I guess, is that I often talk with women friends around the country who I have never personally met. But, we have talked for so many hours over the years that I know practically everything about them. Wouldn’t be able to pick them out in a crowd though. ;-) .
