|
| TimeZones... Posted: 12/17/2005 10:13:52 PM | don't think so, someone just sent me an email just before midnight on the 17th (Toronto time) and they're are also from the Toronto area - it registered as being sent just before 5am the 18th.
My time zone setting is EST -500

| TimeZones... Posted: 12/18/2005 12:34:33 AM | my inbox time is ok now , but yesterday when I received an email there was the 3 hr difference, but the post times are off, and now I see a difference here in the message reply box , yours said 10:08, but this says 1:08 I know there is 3 hrs difference from Van to TO... I am just posting now at 3:36 to see what comes up in the post...
edit, ok 3 hrs diff, sometimes its on, sometimes its off...?? excuse me, 2nd edit, last posted time is correct, but thread time is 3 hrs diff, I'm guessing it depends on where the OP came from ?

| TimeZones... Posted: 12/22/2005 3:49:24 AM | | It's not just mail that is messed up. I just posted in the Relationships forum and it said 3 hours earlier than it actually is (3:45 a.m. instead of 6:45 a.m.!) Also, I keep uploading an avatar (NOT nudity!) and it keeps going away when I login the next time and I have to upload it again. | |

| Server timezone is -9:00 hours GMT Posted: 10/31/2009 3:30:46 PM | It seems that everyone's time stamps are 9 hours behind what they should be. Having read through the forums this seems like it's a problem everywhere, not just for us Aussies.
The most likely cause for this would be if the PoF web server's clock was set incorrectly. It's probably physically located in a -9:00 hours GMT time zone and set to local time instead of GMT time. In that case, it really should be a quick and easy little job for the webmaster or the web host provider to correct.
This is easily the best dating site around, how about we get this one annoying 'feature' fixed and make it that much better. :-)

| Server timezone is -9:00 hours GMT Posted: 10/31/2009 3:34:53 PM | ^^^ Your post, just made, has date and time stamp 10/31/2009 3:30:46 PM
My local time in British Columbia, Canada, is 3:34 pm, so it is correct from my point of view.

| Server timezone is -9:00 hours GMT Posted: 11/3/2009 4:21:43 AM | Hmm... The timestamps seem to be out by -10:00 hours GMT here in Qld Australia now? I'm not entirely not sure though?
Anyway, could it be that the times are simply being displayed in the server's local time, which might coincide with British Columbia, Canada (or possibly in actual GMT time?), instead of being adjusted to each uses time zone - as set in their personal site settings?
For instance, my time zone setting on PoF (which I can't change or I'd just mis-adjust it to make it work for me!) is set for +10:00 hours, but that doesn't seem to be taken into account when I view the site.
