| Men don't like TALL women
Posted: 12/18/2005 1:08:59 PM | I find that tall males don't like tall girls. I am tall and I get overlooked by the guys taller than me. I get approached by short guys. I'm not ugly or anything, I'm in good shape so i have no clue. I do have a theory, though.
Basically...I think it's an instinctive thing that guys like short girls because taller girls especially ones who are attractive are quite intimidating. A lot of the dispositions towards you would be along the lines of "she's so good...she wouldn't even look at a guy like me". It takes a special kind of guy who's confident enough to approach a tall girl.
I'm not trying to generalize, i know it is attraction, but I'm asking so guys (and girls) let me in on why! | |

We have zero in common, our profiles are exact opposites but they bring up height like it is a deal cincher. I actually had one guy who had "within 75 miles, non smoker, must not be looking for email/chat" as their requirements email me and say "I always wanted to make love to a tall woman" umm yeah, well when you find one let me know how it turned out. | |

Posted: 12/18/2005 2:19:27 PM | Hmmm... perhaps you've gotten the wrong signals or guys aren't being truthful with you. Being a somewhat tall dude, I do prefer someone a bit taller. Not that shorter women don't attract me, don't get me wrong... But then again, it's much more than just height. Anyone worth your time will know that.

ALOT of men like tall women and heck most of them like us tall gals...cause we got the lonnnng legs. Many men love long legs...can only get that with a tall gal after all!!! My best friend is 5'11 and you should see the guys go nuts over her....the minute she walks in a room all eyes are on her...you cant miss her after all!! When the two of us are out together....look out..short gals...cause us leggy hot tall women just entered the room ;) | |

This may indeed be why many men simply do not bother to talk to a tall, amazon-like female. I mean, I said something along the lines of "Hey girl, you're a tall glass of water and I'm telling you skraight up... I'm thirsty!" She laughed and we talked. But with such a silly line, I really wasn't expecting much. Anyway, yea.... women have forced men (particularly those that are shorter than them) to steer clear of them at all cost. | |

A tall woman who doesn't date enough taller guys is likely doing one of the following:
1) not presenting herself properly in public
2) is not approaching the taller guys, she's looking for them to make the first move
A tall guy who approaches a shorter woman is likely attracted to her not because she is shorter, but because she possesses other qualities which catch his eye. The woman's height likely has NOTHING to do with what causes his attraction alarms to go off.
If you are a tall woman who requires her dates to be taller, and isn't getting enough dates, the first thing I'd suggest is to either approach the men who you are interested in, do different things to better catch the eye of those taller guys she thinks would make her happy, or don't worry about it--get out more and through numbers go out Fishing. The direct approach method might be the best way--best use of limited time, and less likely to get approached by shorter guys. | |

Yeah, thats maybe my worst weakness. A girl's ideal height for me would be about 5'8" or 5'9". BUT i'm attractive to tall girls. ****, even mature girls my height seem about a foot taller up close and personal. It is intimidating to me. I'm not a ****, so i'll approach her if I want to, but I won't be the first one running up to her, thats for sure. I've gone out with a girl about an inch or two taller than me, ****ing amazon lol, it was an odd feeling at first, but I got used to it and I really liked it. | |
