Posted: 12/18/2005 7:35:41 PM | | Who are some of your favourite Canadian bands? How about any locals who put on a great show? I would have to say I really like Billy Talent. I also remember going to see Dallas Green play acoustic shows downtown back in the day and he was always amazing. :) | |

Posted: 12/19/2005 6:25:38 AM | ^^^^ Hey, don't knock someone else's faves. I have to say that of the bands out there that have that similar sound (which I find similar to Pearl Jam), I would choose Nickelback over 3 Doors Down, Creed and all of the others any day.
You guys have done a great job of naming several favourites of mine already and some that I will have to check out, but I will add Chixdiggit, the Irish Descendents, Spirit of the West (2 bands that Great Big Sea fans should check out), the Sarahs (MacLaughlin, Harmer, and another who escapes me - would love to see these 3 work together under the name the Sarahs), and of course the AM's (Alannis Morrisette, Amanda Marshall, Alannah Myles, and the original AM, Anne Murray). | |

Posted: 12/19/2005 12:20:34 PM | OMG someone mentioned Slik Toxic.... umm.. one of the band members (forget which one) he now lives in Thunder Bay... oh and his Grammy (or whichever award they won it's glass and points up like a skinny pyramid) is sitting on the top shelf behind the counter at one of the local pawn shops there.
