I would like this thread to be to compliment or say good things about
people who put a few extra pounds ,bbw /big and tall,
for me I prefer dating someone in the above categories it is a personal preference .I would like to take this opportunity to say, to you ladies and guys that even if you do not think you are the most perfect in appearance there are members of the opposite sex who disagree with you . I am one guy who likes a full figured girl I think that most of these threads stink on the topic of big people they are mean spirited and can be offensive and rude so if you have a compliment,or something nice to say guys or girls lets hear it

thanks Cosmo .

Way To Go Cosmo ...way to take a stand and say what needs to be said...

I personally love a big and tall guy and find BBW's phenomenal. So little of a person is physical and so much of a relationship is intellectual and spiritual, that the wrapping is only icing on the cake (pun intended.) Anyway, I hope this thread gets a lot of positive responses.

thanks zoe it is nice to scream and be heard every once and awhile.Yes but to me a bbw,a few extra pounds is the icing not to dis any other body types but since everyone else gets to say what they like. Well I want to as well.

people of bigger sizes, it is dangerous to accept these added extra pounds and DO NOTHING about it! you are a risk for diabetes, incredible bad joints, and not to mention less opportunites for dating. where i work i seen some very overweight women(obese) just single with no prospects of having someone in their life. yes there are some people who enjoy obese women but not enough to compensate the total obese women.

for the record i don't hate OBESE people, been there myself with still some few pounds to go. but just doing nothing about is horrible! if i ever had an overweight child i would push him nicely to participate in exercise and fitness. back when i was young i was taunted a few times and even in my adulthood there was a lot less social dating. PEOPLE, you have to increase your opportunities to find that one person. for example if i'm 300lbs there are probably only 5 out of 100 women who will give me a second chance. this is reality. i hate to see single people who can't commit themselves to lose weight and be asked out for dates. and for the same thing i think if a man has job/career that isn't what most women care for they have to realize to improve their financial status to increase opportunites. basically for men the better job/money you have, the more opportunities. for women the less you weigh(but you have to be healthy) the more opportunities men will give you. FAT ACCEPTANCE is so detrimental to your health and social status, not to mention to the health care costs.

ty cosmo, it is nice to see something positive, I always thought that a size 12 was normal, after reading some posts about sizes, it tends to make you wonder how people really see you.

fat does not mean lazy or even in bad shape but hey nice comment heavyd I am suposed to weigh between 150-185 lbs yet I walk about 8-10miles 3 times aweek and mountainbike up to 30 miles a day yet I hover around 230-240 lbs it is not fat acceptance just nature the bmi dose not take into consideration muscle mass just mass.oh yeah I am considered obese on this scale . nice comments remember

to dae I think in this day and age twelve is about average in canada and the states but since everyone has the option to be perfect online it is easy to put anyone down who is honest yes there are some gorgeous people on here but there are many fake pics as well

thanks for the nice thought and words dae

there's a thread i started two days ago where i said i weighed 235lbs at a 5'9 frame. and yes i was healthy, strong, in good shape but fat! i didn't need all that weight. i was in better shape than a lot of the slender muscular members but why the heck would i need all that extra weight for? unfortunately there are very, very, very few FAT and FIT people. even in the news reports there were findings that being FIT while FAT doesn't compensate for the added padding. there's this obesity epidemic going on and no one wants to own up to it. why is that? we can critize about smoking but whe we talk about all the dangers of overweight we are being politically incorrect?

Cosmo i don't have any doubt you are fit, i'm just want to say it's wrong to accept being overweight while doing nothing about it. that's all

just trying to be nice that is all heavy i would be glad to spar on this topic either on larrystuds thread or taurus' as these are apropriate for this matchup.
these are getting off topic so I repeat.

girls who are bbws or afew extra pounds or even average in North America as heavy points out since weight is such an issue I for one find you very atractive and thousands of guys out there do to if you are comfortable take a chance and show a picture you dont have to let anyone rate it and Iwould bet there is someone who thinks you look great same for the guys most people my self included tend to have self image which is distorted from how others see you an honest pic ture shows that you are honest and to me that is the most important thing.

i'm really attracted to thick women, a few extra pounds or however you want to put it. i don't go for seriously obese women, but a few extra pounds really does it for me.

cosmo, you say you mtb 30 miles a day? i would like to know where you can ride 30 miles of trail everyday. mtb'ing is my main hobby, i ride a Gary Fisher Montare hardtail for trails and a Kona Stinky ('02) for urbans, and if i ride 15 miles of trail in one day i'm SPENT! just curious.

Dude you got issues straight up. I myself just recently lost 92 lbs and yes of course My opportunities for dating increased. At the same time I didn't lose the weight for a reason as shallow as that. I lost the weight because I wanted to be healthy. Truth be known if you have to rely on appearence alone to get a date your going to be in the company of some very miserable people. It is well know that in todays society that there is a great deal of pressure on people to keep fit. I will say that I agree with you on the fact that a person should try to look there best, but to do something like that just so you can get dates says alot about your self esteem my friend.

thanks for the welcome cosmo. i used to live near Dallas and there was this beautiful BBW that i had ridden bikes with a couple times. she had to have had the biggest thighs i ever seen on a bike, but she was in great shape. a couple years ago she took second place in the local Cross Country bike races, in the women's Sport division. seriously fast, and i don't mind saying that i could not keep up with her for more than a mile or my lungs were popping out of my chest trying to soak up oxygen. "BBW" does not mean lazy at all.

cosmo you didn't tell me what kind of bike you ride, since you're in BC i would guess a DH rig would be the thing to have, but at 30 miles a day i think maybe a XC or road bike would be the ticket. so which is it?

i'm glad you lost 92lbs and achieving your goal. did i lose the weight primarily to get dates? NO! if you read closely to what i said it's also to prevent injuries down the road. the heavier anyone is means increased opportunities for backaches, knee problems, hips, etc. not too mention type 2 diabetes and the economic burden North America will face if obesity continues. i like being fit but those extra pounds were a burden. everyone is so weight sensitive here that it's a time-bomb should you mention anyone losing weight. i don't understand why that is.

GAH! I can't take it anymore, all these weight issues are driving me bonkers, and Im tired of reading how being overweight can cause serious injuries and health problems, do you not think we know that? I mean unless we crawled out from under a rock yesterday we are fully aware of the harm it can cause, we are also aware that drinking kills, smoking kills, hell your even taking a risk driving your car! The plane your flying on could crash, you could kill yourself by flipping your bike while working out! But everyone still does these things and will continue to do them. If i did everything I could to not risk my health or life I would have to live in a bubble.

Yes Im fat, and alot of other people out there are FAT too, but WHO CARES!!! We are who we are, if your happy, love life and are enjoying what you do, all the best to ya!

Congratulations to everyone who has lost weight, and has been able to keep it off, its takes a tremendous amount of motivation and I look up to you!

I think the most attractive thing is confidence and if you can honestly say that you love who you are and hold your head high, live everyday like its your last, it doesnt matter if your fat, thin, male, female, black or white.

Gah! Now i feel better.... :P

P.S...i prefer huskier men as well, nothing better then my big cuddly teddy bear!

heavy yes but everyone has to start somewhere right and what is the problem with a simple compliment in your book I dont understand there are other forums to make all of us who carry extra weight feel like crap are you simply a good samaritan trying to spread the word of good eating and exercise if so we got the message good job where is your profile pic ? and if you started a thread two days before your first post here how come it says you joined one day before your first post ? just a question were you deleted and had to rejoin? and as I say everyone has to start somewhere. so why not be positive on that first step I know for me when I got feeling bad or depressed I ate if I felt good I did not .so if you continualy make everyone around you feel like crap it realy doesn't help .are you pridefull of how much weight you lost? and are trying in a misguided way to say hey if I can do it so can you?if so e-mail me and we can talk about aproach tactics I think it is great you lost weight congrats so did I over my lifetime . yes it feels good yes it is a healthy thing but so does a compliment.

josie welcome thanks from all of us guys out there? here? yes confidence is the most important thing as well as a positive self image .just know there are many guys out there who feel the same way girls you are atractive to a lot of guys me included in them I am not afraid to openly say what I prefer but to some their masculinity seems chalenged by giving a compliment.or keeping their mouth shut if they cant say nice things.
