I hoping that you are going to be able to either totally talk me out of having this done or talk me into it. I have been wanting my tongue pierced for about 2 years now but never had the courage to get it done! I have just had a phone cal from a friend asking me to go with her tomorrow morning to get her nipple pierced so im seriously debating now. Do i do it or not?

Posted: 1/4/2006 11:33:31 AM | Awe linzi be careful, my mate had her tongue pierced last year, she got it done at a good place. but it ended up getting infected, her tongue sewlled up so bad, she ended up in hospital. i wanted mine doing for ages, but after seeing what it can do, not risking it at all.
I know it looks great but think very carefully before doing it. | |

Posted: 1/4/2006 11:41:53 AM | Well linzi i have had mine done now for at least 5 years, only had slight swelling in the begining, and have oved it ever since!
All i will say is that make sure if you do decide to get it done, that the place is clean and they wear gloves... and be prepared to live on ice lolies for the first week...lol | |

The mobile muscle located just beyond the orbicularis oris has multiple uses. Many of these uses are designed to change other body functions. Such as when the lungs exult air, the air travels over the larynx and tongue and makes sounds often combined into what you might call a language or in extreme cases music. Posted: 1/4/2006 1:24:46 PM | Well I have a peirced tongue ......... didn't hurt much getting it done was a little painfull for the first few days though .... The reason that people say that you lisp after you have your tongue pierced is that to start with they put in on overlong bar to allow for the swelling which does give you a bit of a lisp until it is replaced with a normal length bar, also drives you mad, clicking against your teeth when you talk ... I was so happy after my 10 days were up and I had the normal length bar fitted 
Nipples didn't cause me any pain at all. However do be ultra picky about who does them as badly pierced nipples can lose all sensation | |
